Sad but true but on MRS BPO's website they actually brag that they can go after accounts in various bankruptcy proceedings.  I took this right from their website

I am also a victim of this agency. I have had to remove negative information every month for 6 months now. The agency is trying to collect for a debt that was discharged in a Bankruptcy. They were given these facts as well as the discharge information but continue to harass me as well as put collection on my credit reports. My attorney has contacted them as well. This is very illegal yet they persist. They think they are above the law however they may have tripped themselves up. According to the FCC they have gone way beyond what is acceptable. The dept they filed was more than $4000 than the actual debt. Something needs to be done to protect the people that are being harassed by this company.
