 You are confusing what they told you im sure. Much like any other place they would have told you the work they suggest that you get completed. I know from my own experiences that if they see wear on your belt, they are going to tell you about it and suggest that you get a new one. I ignored the mechanic like we all do. It didnt fit into my internal budget so I said no. Sure enough about 5 months later my serpentine belt snapped and it snapped right were the wear was. Had I taken them up on their offer I wouldnt have spent a few hours on the side of the road, but I didnt blame them for their suggestion. They just told ME what they found. Im sure they did the same to you. They told you there was wear or damages and they could replace it for you at XXXX$. That is not a ripoff. That is not a scam. Every second you are driving your vehicle you are doing damage to it. Maybe not some mind blowing amount, but enough that it adds up over time. Brakes, engine, tires these are ALL items that are being worn down from use. Just keep in mind all of the problems they pointed out to you. You can be 100% sure that each of those items listed is going to fail on you. And when it does I certainly hope you can show the world how much of a stand up individual you are and post a correction rebuttal.
