I was contacted early in the morning of January 6th 2003 by this company. You all know the deal, and I was dumb, and did not hang up. I got the recording my information part, half way trough the whole thing, I said Wait, I am not sure I want to do this. She handed me over to another person. That person said that my account was already pending in the computer, Call back in a few days to cancel, REPEATING, I had 5 days to cancel with no fees.

I called a few days later, and was told to call back in a few days, it took 5 days for the computer to do whatever. I called back. Spoke to a person who and told them I wanted to cancel my account. She said sure, put me on hold, came back and said, Done, your confirmation number is now your cancellation number. I repeated that I did not want the ACH taken, and she said, Not to worry, it has not gotten that far along, and now it is cancelled.

Well I was a sucker twice, because they did try to take the $200 (I moved the money into my savings, just in case) and the ACH bounced. I spoke to my bank (love them) and they refunded me the return check charge. They faxed me a STOP ACH form, I filled it out, and all was well.

I go to the mailbox on June 12th, and I see this note from my bank. I open it, and see that a $200 ACH was returned. The comment line was LGS-NT, and nothing else. I call my bank, they help me out, I panic, the next 2 days I get more ACHs one for 50 and one for 100, All with LGS-NT in the comment line. I call my bank. They send me to the rarly spoken to ACH department. They dig a little and told me this, The company that is pulling this is you, but we have a phone number They give it to me, and guess who!

I call, they tell me, I owe them $25 per return, and a $35 cancellation fee. And they were going to keep trying to pull the money until they get it. I closed the account today. Is there a time limit on ACH requests?
