In April 2013, I looked for a tutor to help prep for grad-level final exams. I answered an online ad by Nati Amos, indicating she was local to me and could assist with the two classes I needed. She was friendly and answered e-mails quickly but as we approached meeting, she had excuses to why she could not meet and needed to reschedule. Days passed, I continued to study on my own and she suggested we do a tutoring session online, (something I've done with others with no issues previously). I wasn't initially receptive but after exchanging several more e-mails, I was willing to try as she seemed very accommodating.

We made a plan to meet, I sent my questions for the material for her review and I made a paypal deposit for her time, as requested. The day before we were supposed to meet, she e-mailed to say she was ill. More delays. Another meeting tentatively scheduled and no word from her. I had a work conflict, we rescheduled one last time and again, no answers to e-mail. In the end, nearly three weeks had passed and it was time to take the final exams I had needed help for.

Given that I no longer needed her help, having taken the final exam for both classes, I e-mailed Nati to advise same and asked her for a refund, as she never actually met with me. No answer. I sent another e-mail nearly a week later, asking when I might expect a refund. No answer. I see that she is online and placing ads on Craig's List, (see her ad below), so apparently she intends to keep the money she did not earn. 

Is this a small thing? Perhaps. However, in the scientific community, what are you without integrity? I would be happy to drop any further action if I am refunded in full; otherwise, I hope others avoid doing business with her - any business, as you see that she has numerous 'art' businesses in the NYC area - due to her conduct.

there is a lot of different ways to learn and I believe that everyone can understand something as organic and complex as these things; either for an up coming exam or just to have someone to bounce off of concepts. I am your girl.

I have my degree in Biochemistry and masters in Microbiology. I make learning as painless as possible.

1st year Physical chemistry
Microbiology emphasis on bacterial / CDC type stuff
Anatomy and Physiology 

This is my life; so I think everyone should have a good tutor to learn from and be able to adapt in how you learn; because there are many way to cut an apple
