I started work for Neptune Society in 2007 in Portland, OR.  I had a great boss and I was doing really well working for the office.  So well that after three months of being on board, I was recommended for a management job in Bakersfield, CA  with a sister company called Trident Society.  I ended going down there the first week of March in 2008 and trained for management for a few days in San Diego and Rancho Mirage.  Little did I know what I was getting into once I went back to Bakersfield.  Hard work, long days,  phone calls from the National Sales Mgr. sometimes 3 times a day.  I worked hard at this job sun up to sun down, weekends and never took a day off.  I had to produce and I wanted this position to work.  Of course I was working out of the home I was living at, as the office was being readied. The office was the place where I never got to work out of.  After three months they determined I wasn't the right fit.  Even though, later on they found out that I did the best of any of their managers ever did in that location before they closed it a year later.  Some days I drove 400 miles for an account.  After three months Neptune Management fired me.  There went my health insurance for the kids, myself and here I was, stuck down here in California to find my way back. 

Of course after a month or so they sent someone to find me so I could go to work as an independent contractor.  Yes, what they call an independent contractor.  I don't believe they meet the 20 points of what the IRS calls an independent Contractor but they believe they do.  I think the IRS would have a hay day if they checked this one out.  So I went to work for a new office location once again, San Pedro, CA.  My boss(same guy that was over me in the Bakersfield office)  gave me 50 leads and said go sell them.  I did.. but then enters the new San Pedro manager.  A working manager.  A working  manager is some one that hoards the leads for themselves.  My contracts fell off drastically and once again I could see myself not making living.  

So it's time to move on and I understand there is a position open in Arizona, of all places.  I gather my stuff together, go find a place to live, get licensed and move to AZ to do the same job there, independent contractor for Neptune Society.  So the guy that manages the AZ office goes buzurk on me after two days after New Years.  Never had I worked for a guy like this before.  A real Chip and Dale person.  Hair all falling out because he's probably using too many steroids.  In February we part our ways and I'm headed back to Portland, but wait.....

There is a position open for me in the Sherman Oaks office working for Larry.  One of the nicest guys you ever met.  Been there for a ton of years and Larry says come on over and we'll make a place for you.  He did.  And I did.  Well, first month, second month, 3rd month, fourth month I'm doing better then ever before.  Averaging 25 accounts a month and some months as high as 42 and Neptune Society parts their way with their best manager, Larry  Great news.. The Tin Man enters.  Does anyone know what a Tin Man is.  That's a siding salesman!!! One step above a USED siding salesman. 

My sales start going down.  Of course the Tin Man has different objectives, the ladies.  He likes young ladies with nice b***s.  And they like him because he's easily manipulated.  Do I need to say more.  The reason he likes b***s is basically because he is a one!  He'd like to think he's well educated and all and knows sales better then any one else.  Get before them and don't let them go til you make the sale is his fashion of doing things.  He's one of those guys that gives the name "Salesperson" a bad name.  You know them, they sell siding for houses and you can find them on any used car lot.  I have to appologize to the used car lot people though for comparing him to them. 

Don't you get tired of this type of salesperson?  I do.  Man I don't want this type of jerk banging at my door.  Well, today, I've made my final departure from Neptune Society.  I'm not sure how anything else will work out but I do want to put in a word for Dave Haptonstahl, the boob that sells siding for houses and can't figure out why he went bankrupt.  I'm glad I'm making my final departure from you and your company. I'm not sure how Neptune ever recieved such a fine name but I'm sure it won't last long with Bobby G. the wanna be Porn star owner and Dave Haptonstahl the boob man. 

It's been a long two and 1/s years trying to make a living with a hate love relationship as the one with the Neptune Society.  The company that has had their problems underfunding their program in Colorado.  The company that sets aside in a trust fund the $651 dollars of the $2,226 when they write a cremation contract with Travel.  I've never figured out how this travel fund works but I do know other companys that set this additional funds they get for this coverage into the trust fund.  My sauga is over with the Neptune Society and really I'm glad of it.  I cancelled my plan today and asked for my money to be returned.  You think they will do it..  I doubt it.   Well good luck with your investment in this company.  Mine hasn't done very well.
