Network Solutions charged a valid MasterCard credit card using a past number.  They have been setting accounts like mine to auto-renew even after that setting is turned off.  At no time were they given explicit or implicit permission to make this charge - a whopping $15.99.

Thus far, Network Solutions has not replied to my email complaint.  Bank of America's response (MasterCard credit card) has been underwhelming.  I'm expecting Bank of America to do a full investigation of Network Solutions that ought to end with a suspension of their merchant account.

If you wonder why we get hundreds of overseas scam attempts per day (email, phone calls), I suggest this is largely due to our tolerance of bad actors like Network Solutions.  Bank of America benefits as well since they will charge a few-percentage fee so all of these fraudulent charges are money in their pocket too.

Please avoid using Network Solutions and be wary of Bank of America if you're expecting them to perform any sort of account service.  I've had them challenge perfectly legit charges but then they let this crap go through AND give me pushback on the events.  What makes them gung-h*o to approve some charges and decline others in the name of fraud?  Try listening to your customer and put down whatever script you were told to read.
