This company, run by Ram and Amanika, used to be known as Global Marketing Consultants. Ram got wise to the fact that people weren't going to interview with him under that name, because he'd been sued multiple times for not paying his people
a dime. So now it's called New World Marketing or New World Sales. He also moves the address a lot so you can't pinpoint the location. This company is exactly the same as Cydcor, a known pyramid scheme company that scams it's employees.

You saw a posting for a marketing firm in Philadelphia. You're interested in the job because it says it's base plus commission and it's near where you live, so you sent a resume and cover letter. You get a call back in a few hours that they want to
interview you THAT DAY. You say no, which they were upset about, but you managed to get the interview later in the week. Red flag one: real companies take forever to answer to job postings, not hours.

So say you take interview one. You'll be interrogated for about 7-10 minutes about your background and why
you would be a good fit. You'll also hear the basic pitch, which is that this is a great opportunity to start your own company office, succeed in marketing, etc. Of course, you have no experience, but hey, we'll train you. You'll start selling for clients, then do customer service, then you'll get a team, then your own office. But hey, the manager says he already interviewed soooo many people, you might not get it. He'll call if you made the cut.

30 minutes after you leave, he calls you back and says you got the interview. Oh, it's tomorrow, can you clear your schedule? Everyone else has. Red flag 2: real companies don't force you to come in the next day for an interview.

You go in for interview 2 you had to research a ton of stuff for this so it should be much tougher than interview 1, right? Wrong. You play word association games and listen to rap music. Then you and the other 3 people there hear the tale of an investment banker who got screwed by his last big name job, and started his own company to make a real difference. You
four made the cut out of the (ridiculously large number) applicants.  If you want to continue, let me know when I call you in 20 minutes.

The last interview is shadow day. You then realize that this isn't a marketing job at all. This isn't Mad Men it's more like joke day. You walk around for 8 hours with a training specialist (she's only been working for 3 weeks and is just as clueless as you are) trying to get people to sign up for (insert marketing plan here verizon, clean energy, vacation tickets, ) But, she says, it's not that bad. You can make about $1,000 per week if you really try hard and hit every door (tight to the right!) and follow the sales plan (introduce, story, pitch, close, rehash) and stay positive (JUICE it).

When you get back, way later than expected, you'll have your final interview. There will probably be a junior manager in the room with you. You'll be pressed harder and harder, interrogated, broken down to see if you realizedthat this whole thing is just an elaborate scheme. This is where I asked about compensation, financial projections for my future business (I already own one and know to ask, but most people don't), and more about the corporate structure.  He wanted me out of there because he knew I knew what he was up to, and I didn't get the job.

But let's assume that you had taken it, what now? You will be offered a 3 day feeling out period. That means you have to get 2 accounts written, which you won't be paid for, and then the manager will discuss your compensation package. If you ask to see a contract before you do the 3 day period, you'll be thrown out.

Can't you ever make money? NOPE! You are locked in to make about $150 per week. If you ever make team leader, you'll make more but you have to pay the people that you hire, and drive them around and take them to lunch, so you will end up making about the same $150-$200. In 5 years, you'll get an office, but by then you'll be so jaded you'd love to rip off all the
people under you.  The owner of the office makes about 10x what you make.  Oh, and you're a 1099 employee, so you'll have to play self employment tax on your $150 (which is about 15%).

So, maybe just don't apply. It's a total fraud!
