On Feb 28th 2012 I purchased 2002 Jeep Grand Larado 4 door blue from North American Auto on 6002 N 56th St Tampa FL 33610(813) 621-4222 from Sam (private owner of said vehicle) He (Sam) stated this automobile belongs to his wife and she only drove work and back...in test driving the Jeep I noticed the perfom service indicator on and the engine light on the dash...when mentioned I was told by Sam it's the censor light and he could fix that. I traded my 1998 Jeep Cherokee to them for $500.00 and was told if asked tell the Finance company it was traded for $1000.00 per saleman. I was honest with the problems of my personally owned Jeep and it's condition (bad motor, brakes, motor mounts, new fuel pump,etc..) and was financed at a good price per month because I was so honest per sales rep.) I wasn't informed that this vehicle was involed in an accident and the engine was going...on April 6th @ 6:45 pm on my way home I heard a pop, water and steam from under the hood... I waited fro awhile for truck to cool.and proceeded home when the jeep sputtered and stop. AAA was called to tow vehicle home and North American Auto was called April 09. @ 9am...was told no problem bring the jeep to them, I told them I was leary about driving jeep and was told it should make it w/no problem I did ...jeep was overheating from lees than a mile from homt to shop. was tyold to leave the jeep and mechanic will check when he comes in @ 12 noon...I call'd back @ 3:00pm and was told by Sam it's going to be about 1500.00 or 1600.00 to repair....I ask'd which is it and was told either one and to bring the full amount. for repair...I ask who in their right mind pays for repair in full up front and Sam laughed...well bring me 600.00 and pay after repairs complete, I asked for estimate in writting and was told oh yeah yeah ha ha ... as we continued to talk I asked again how much this time was told to bring 800.00 and the cost 1600.00 I said wait you just told me to bring 600.00 now your changing it to 800.00 which is it then he SAm said 1600.00....I ask'd Sam so you dont think you should take on any responabilty in this matter and was told no ...and you can come pick up your car. you either want it fixed or not.  I called the Jeep dealership explained my situation and was told fro 1600.00 they was only going to fix the top of the motor not the full motor and I would back in the same situation I'm in now. (bottom line blown head gasket/motor and radiator)
