North American Master Lines - Pauline Tomich; Stephanie Garzon; Kenny; Robert Igneri North American Master Lines - Moving Disaster- Moving Scam Artist Hallandale Florida

North American Master Lines is run by two main people who are scam artist, Pauline Tomich and Kenny (last name remains unknown). I would not refer this company to anyone; your moving experience will be a disaster! In the beginning they will be nice and kind, but once your belongings are on the truck, the tragedy begins. We wish we knew that moving companies like North American Master Lines exist because we could have saves ourselves money, stress, and heartache.

When we hired this company on June 11, 2013 we dealt with a representative name Stephanie Garzon (who is actually Pauline). We were quoted by telephone that our move from Landover, MD to Houston, TX would be $1,650 for 4,000lbs; with a $450 deposit towards the total amount paid by credit card. The deposit was due within 24hrs of the Moving Estimate to lock in guaranteed price. Our pick up date was scheduled for June 22, 2013 between 11am-1p. Stephanie informed us that half of the cost ($1,200) was due at pick up, which would be $600 and the remaining $600 would be due at delivery/drop off.

On June 22, 2013 the movers showed up at 2:30pm which is 1hr and 30mins late. The excuse we were given for the driver being late was, the North American Master Line truck broke down and they had to rent a truck from another company. Once the truck was loaded the driver told us that the truck was overweight and that we could follow him to the weight station or we could let the company deduct the extra fees from our credit card. We decided to meet them at the weight station; once we arrived the driver told us that the truck was 2,700lbs overweight. The overweight charge is $.40 per lbs. Reminder: We had to pay half of the total cost of service for our furniture to be delivered to TX.

From June 22, 2013 to July 5, 2013 North American Master Lines ignored our phone calls and did not return voicemails. Not one representative contacted us to discuss the overweight transactions nor did they call to follow up on how the pickup service went. This is where the disaster begins! If we only knew then what we know now! Now the scam is in full effect! They charged us after service charges for a lot of miscellaneous things and once it was all said and done, our total amount came out to $2,856.

July 5, 2013 we received a phone call from a representative name David who was supposedly escalating our concerns to a manger and would have them call us immediately. David told us that he would contact the dispatcher to locate the truck and would call us back with a delivery date. Of course we never received a phone call back that day; Pauline Tomich called us back 5 days later on July 10, 2013 and left a rude voicemail saying that our delivery date would be in 3 to 4 business days.

On July 12, 2013 we received a phone call that the driver was in Houston, TX to delivery our furniture and would be at our home within 45mins to 1hr. That is only a 45min notice at 6pm on a Friday evening and driver did not arrived until about 7:45pm. The driver told us that he would not start removing our furniture from the truck until we paid the additional $1,203. We tried paying by the same credit card used to pay the deposit but they would not take that. The driver wanted money order or cash only!

They came back the next day July 13, 2013; we tried giving the driver a bank money order due to the main post office being closed. Pauline confirmed that they would take that payment due to the circumstances. The driver refused to take the money order from the bank and demanded cash however would not be able to provide a receipt. We did not pay the cash due the no receipt and long story short the drivers took our belonging to storage in Houston, TX. We have no knowledge of where the storage is and Pauline Tomich wants the $1,203 to release the address.

We still have not paid North American Master Lines the additional money and for the past month they have been giving us the run around on how we legitimately owe overweight charges. Pauline has not been able to provide accurate weight station documentation. We do not have or furniture yet but rather we get it back or not our goal is to get this fraud moving company put out of business.
