Beware of Norvergence if they contact you. I worked for Norvergence as a Screening Manager and have first hand knowledge of their strategies.

Since I resigned from the company I have received over a dozen calls (repeatedly) from upset customers. They were complaining about early, inaccurate billing, circuits not installed, MATRIX boxes not operational, cell phones not received and not getting satisfaction with Customer Service in Newark, NJ.

I will not personally attack Norvergence in this forum because there is already plenty of that here and all over the web. However, I will advise anyone considering doing business with them to proceed with caution and perform extreme due diligence before you sign a delivery and acceptance letter. Listen carefully about their claims to save you money.

Remember that no matter WHO you talk with regarding telecom services, there will ALWAYS be mandatory government surcharges and taxes applied to the monthly invoce. Often times these surcharges and taxes will eat up MUCH of the margin they quote you, leaving your savings truly nominal.

The bottom line is that based on the number of calls I have received from upset customers since I left and the fact that they have not gotten anywhere with Norvergence, I could not and would not advocate them to anyone. I am glad I do not work for them any longer and really regret taking the position in the first place.

As a business owner, remember what it took to get you where you are today. Maybe your current services are not such a bad deal in the long run.

Lovin The Nor Vergence life

Here I am, outta college lookin for jobs, go to a few different big companies, get a few jobs not knowing much about the real world yet thinkin I can make six figures right away. And then Nor V, presents this lil pay scale for me to just set a lil apointment make six figures. So I stay, wouldn't you! So after months and months of seeing the most un ethical backwards bullshi#, I have ever seen chose to leave my big money scam job for some moral issues. I have watched friends be fired, people defrauded out of earned money, medical benefits, leads...."By the way this company will even not give a money maker(employee that rocks) leads to save money on the commissions" Are you serious? The sales floor is run by the most uneducated un professional ppl on earth. Only one or two of the supers on the floor graduated college, some may have not even got through the highschool thing. If you wanna stop dealing drugs and be safer go work for Nor V, but realize that in reality its the same thing just for less money...so go back to the street with the drugs you would be happier...

I currently am working for Norvergence, I can honestly say that is the worst company to do business with. Customers are being bind in a non-cancelable 5 years contract. Some customers are paying 95k and more for the "Matrix box", not only that the customer have to get "funding" from a Bank for the equipment. The saving that they are receiving is very minimal per month . When Norvergence and mount the box , the you have to wait 6 months for the T1 line ,the cells phone is another problem. Customer service is under staffed, tickets are forward from one department to another to no avail, customers are in the queue about 30minutes before someone can help. I was told to tell the customers they would hear from us within 48hrs just to make them happy. Norvergence already collected there from the funding company and does not care about the customers because again that customer or customers cannot cancel until 5 yrs. The porting is an other big issue some customer are waiting months before they can get their phones ported over to the T-mobile or Sprint. Not only that majority of customer are playing two bills one to Norvergence and one to the leasing company. For Example a customer called and say that his business is going under, (slow) they told him the only way out of the contract is to filed Bankruptcy. Becareful who you does business with , make sure you read the fine printed don't get trapped with Norvergence and they Matrix ripped off "Solution".

This company has been put on this earth to drive us consumers crazy.

The more I contact this company the more incompetent the employees become. There is no one that works in Customer Service that can solve a problem in a reasonable length of time. They ported our cell phone numbers to T Mobile. They shut three of the cell phones off and gave one of the numbers away to another customer. I called and fought with them to get it turned back on as it was the phone that belonged to the owner of the company. They sent new phones and that phone number was the only one that was activated upon arrival. We thought things were looking up.....WRONG......the cell phone number that they gave away and activated was inactivated within 3 days. That was 3 weeks ago and he is still without his cell phone. I have spoken to someone every day, written emails, etc. No one returns calls, they hide behind their voice mails, and don't bother returning emails. I copy emails to their superiors thinking that maybe that will help but again I am wrong.

Should Norvergence have any doubt why we become irate! I would love to see how they would response if they were in our positions. How can a company operated when they can't even provide customer service? They are real pros at deception and lies. That must be the first thing they teach them in their so called training classes. If they can't ignore, lie and deceit they are not hired.

I would love for the officers of Norvergence to come forward and make a statement about how well they think this company is being runned. All they are doing is reaping the profits and letting the pee ons make the decisions.

I am frustrated and angry. They are quick to pass on if your a difficult customer but can't turn their energy's into helping these same customers.

I am totally fed up and will do whatever it takes to bring this company to everyone's attention.

I got out of my NorVergence Contract

I contacted the BBB online and reported NorVergence in their home-state of New Jersey. It took about 2 months, but after much debate, I was released from my 5-year telephone, internet and cell-phone contract. NorVergence breached my contract when they disconnected my Nextel phones without notice stating that it was a fraud sweep. I went without cellphone service for several weeks only to get a replacement of Sprint service and no porting of numbers for several months. The service was not the same because there was no push to talk feature. That's where they screwed up! However, when they cancelled the contract, I went back to Nextel and they made my life hell trying to port my numbers to my new phones. I've gotten one done so far and have given up on the other. You need their tax id number and password that they won't give to Sprint or Nextel so you run around in circles. Fortunately, we found one person at Sprint that was able to resolve the problem for one of the phones. Good luck to all in getting through this nightmare. I don't know who I feel more sorry for, us or the people that work at NorVergence!

nothing but Customer Service issues from day 1

I've been using Norvergence for the past year and I've had nothing but Customer Service issues from day 1. They can't get anything resolved, all they do is speak to you and move on the next caller. Tickets never get closed out. They're billing is off. They've been trying to port over cell numbers for the past months and can't get it done. They diconnected my Fex line in my office and never came back to fix it. I've spoken with I think everyone in Customer Service including, Robert R, Richard B, Nicole, Shawn M., Rubin, Julia K, Tahesha, should I go on? I only stared keeping track about 3 months ago.

I'm just scared of what is going to happen to my work phone numbers, the phone system (that they leased to me), and my lease with interchange Capital, should this company go down.

NORVERGENCE NEEDS TO BE STOPPED AND PUT OUT OF BUSINESS FOR FRAUD

I think that all of us that have fallen victims to this faudulent company need to take action.

I myself will be filing a complaint with the FCC within the next two days. My businesses still are not totally connected, I signed in December 2003, and the cell phones are a nightmare.

I am hoping to get out of this situation because they have not performed as per their contract. I am keeping my hopes up that I can wash my hands and come clean of them.

I think if we all start filing serious complaints with the FCC we will be heard. This is a travesty to say the least!!

I too am ashamed to admit I work here. I got "qualified" into the process as well. I have worked for the company for over 6 months now & am trying to get out. Melissa Carlson is the other RVP in the local office & Darrin Stout is the Market Vice President. These are fancy titles with little pay.

Anyway. The Screening Managers are 100% scripted. They have an opening script & a closing script that is required to be used "word for word" verbatim, or else.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!! Yes, the true owner of Norvergence Mr. Thomas Salzano was shut down by the FCC several years ago. This is why his name is not mentioned anywhere. Only his brothers name, Peter Salzano.

The employees are treated like cattle. It is a scam. The so-called Matrix box (Adtran) can be unplugged & all the services will remain the same.

All Norvergence does is take a copy of your last monthes total communication bills, reduce it by usually 20% - 25% (if you do not get the phone system) fix your price & there is your new bill.

If you get the phone system, your savings is about 10% - 15%. I can go on & on about this. This is the best reverse sell I have ever seen. I give Norvergence credit for that & that only. Again, WARNING!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!

they shut my phone off without warning and gave my number to someone else

I was told I could Port my cell number, since I had had that number for about 7 years. Without warning they shut my phone off with AT&T, after 3 weeks without a phone Norvergence shiped a very nice cell phone with my number. That only lasted about 3 weeks and they shut my phone off without warning and gave my number to someone else. The person who has my phone number is also a customer of Norvergence and they too are having trouble. For about 10 days I have been on the phone calling customer service and anybody I can to get this resolved, they do nothing. I was told my one customer service rep. that my phone would be turned on in 48 hours, that was just a lie, it has been 4 days and it still is not turned on. I would like to report this to our local TV station called "8 on your side", so no one else will be ripped off.
