This is an absolutely fake website. I was looking to get a new internet connection from Comcast and found this site upon googling comcast. This site is a third party vendor but it does not mention anywhere on their site. They offered me low installation charges and rebate for the modem.
But, I had to pay for the modem upfront with them using a credit card over the phone. After I ordered, I was given a confirmation number and was asked to call comcast to schedule for an installation. I called up comcast and they flatly denied the rates and installation fees offered by offer wire and said they are not responsible for these third party
sales and cannot offer me the rates. Finally after visiting the local comcast office and couple of phone calls, they informed me that I'll have to order through comcast and accept the rates that they offer and cannot do anything about offerwire rates and confirmation number. I called offerwire to inform about this and cancel the order for modem.
Instead of apologizing for incorrect rates, I was told Modem order has been processed and cannot be canceled and I 'll be charged the amount for modem and the shipping charges. After I receive the modem, I can return it and I'll be refunded the amount for Modem but not the shipping charges. The bottom line: I did not get the comcast service and now I have paid this company $75 and will have to wait till they refund $59.95 for the modem and end up taking a hit for $14.95 for the shipping for no fault of mine and start all over again for the internet connection. A total waste of time and money. Please do not order through this site.
Go to the comcast official website or call them to place and order and not these guys who claim to be authorized dealer but are nothing more then a bunch of crooks based some where in another country (my guess is their call center is in Africa).
