It has been brought to our attention that OFFICE MAX aired a KGO radio add that disgraces the American Towing business. The ad infers tow truck drivers "are "liars, cheaters, pirates, slime bags, and sleez balls". The image that OFFICE MAX have presented is inappropriate. We urge everyone reading this to seriously consider that if such a company would defame the towing industry without regard to the thousands of people employed therein, Office Max may defame your company, your industry, or your organization next. We are withdrawing our support for OFFICE MAX and will not purchase products at any of their locations until such time as an official retraction is presented both on the national airways and throughout the news media including the press.

#2 Consumer Suggestion

If the shoe fits ....

AUTHOR: Vince - (U.S.A.)

You claim that the ad infers tow truck drivers are "liars, cheaters, pirates, slime bags, and sleez balls". The ad is wrong about the drivers I have contracted with over the years to tow my car when it needed repair. Each and every one of them was courteous and professional. I have never had a single pronblem with them. However, the low-life, lying, scum sucking, slime bag sleez balls who steal your car from a parking lot and hold it for ransom are an entirely different breed. My daughter left her car at a Safeway parking lot for 15 minutes and the low-life tow truck driver, who was waiting right around the corner, took her car. It cost me almost $300 to get it back. Not bad for 10 minutes of work. Actually, calling those robbers slime bags is unfair to slime. If you are an honest tow truck driver who tows a car when requested for an agreed upon fee, then you should simply ignore the ad. If you are a tow truck driver who steals people's cars and holds them for ransom, then get an honest job and quit ripping off people.

All you have posted thus far is hearsay-any very vague hearsay at that. There really is no reason for anyone to boycott them based on your defamatory statements. Are your defamatory comments somehow better?
