On 08-12-06 I applied for a $50 rebate for an LCD monitor I purchased at Tiger Direct. The rebate information was sent to OnRebate.Com and was received/accepted by Onrebate.Com on 08-25-06. The information received was that the rebate check would be sent in 8-10 weeks.

On 11-03-06 I checked the status of my rebate online and it was still pending. I called OnRebate the same day to find out when I could expect to receive my rebate check. I spoke to an individual name Sebastian who placed me on hold for 10 minutes. I hung up and called back and demanded to speak to a supervisor. I was transferred to Nicki who advised that there must have been a problem. She assured me that the check would be cut the same day and placed in the mail.

On 11-06-06 I called Nicki back because the status of my rebate was still pending. She told me that checks take 7-10 business days.

Today, 11-16-06 I called OnRebate because I still have not received my rebate check. When speaking with Nicki I asked her for the check number and the date of the check. She could not ptovide me with the information and assured me that she would contact me before the end of the day. She was given both my work and home phone numbers. She did not call me back.

I caution everyone when doing business with Tiger Direct and OnRebate.

At this point I will be contacting the Florida Attorney General, the Federal Trade Commission and the Postal Service for mail fraud. I will also be contacting our local news station and newspaper for assistance.

Again...BEWARE of Tiger Direct and their Rebates through OnRebate.Com.

I will update this posting as new information is received...good or bad.

OnRebate Asked Me To Do Them A Favor! LOL

The following is an e-mail I received from an employee at OnRebate.Com as well as my response to the e-mail:

Good Morning Mr. Feinberg,

I need your cooperation, I completely understand your sentiment of dissatisfaction with our service and we finally resolve your claim. However even though I agree with using sites like "ripoffreport" to advise consumers of problems. I have to respectully request you make a correction to your comments and that is Marsha Tate's personal cellphone.

This is her personal information and your harming a person that is only an employee and who was not or is not responsible for the rebate processing. Marsha deals with the company clients and not the individual consumers, if she tried to help and was not succesfull it was not on purpose.

I have read your e-mail. I can not and will not change any information posted at ripoffreport.com.

Perhaps Marsha should reword her auto-reply with your e-mail application. I received her cell phone number through her auto-reply. I did nothing wrong. Her auto-reply stated that if this is an emergency to contact her on her cell phone. Since I considered this to be an emergency (my perception) I called.

My duty with posting information at ripoffreport.com was to state the facts and provide useful information to anyone who reads the posting. I did not place any information that was incorrect.

Remember it is your company that has the major issues which you should deal with.

I am not the one to come to and ask a favor given my history with your company.

Finallly - The check has been received!

As promised, I wanted to update this site to let everyone know that I finally received my rebae check and it has been cashed at the issuing bank.

I will still monitor complaints about Tiger Direct, OnRebat and Systemax. I hope that everyone follows my advice and will flood the e-mail boxes of the individuals I have mentioned previously. I also hope that if you experience problems receiving your rebates in a timely fashion to file complaints with the Postmaster General, The Palm Beach County Department of Consumer Affairs, the Federal Trade Commission and any other venus necessary to put these companies straight and honest.

I Actually Spoke With he Controller of OnRebate.Com

Because I am not willing to let this matter go away, I pursued this matter by calling the parent company of OnRebate.Com which is SYSTEMAX who also owns Tiger Direct. I found someone who cares. They in turn transferred me back to OnRebate.Com and stayed on the line whil I spoke to someone in customer service.

Although I didn't want to speak to anyone in that department due to all the lies I had been told, I demanded to speak to the Controller, Carlos Incle who was not available at that time. I left my cell phone number with a promise that Carlos would contact me. He called me back within 20 minutes and assued me that the check had been issued.

If any of you want to contact him directly, call him at 1-866-310-8079 which I believe is his direct line. If not, be persistent and DEMAND to speak with him.

Again, I will keep updating this until I receive my rebate.

I received an e-mail from Carlos Incle (carlos.incle@rebate.com) who is the Controller of Finance at Onrebate.com. He states in his e-mail that check 9961991 was issued yesterday 11-20-06 in the amount of $50.00. He claims will follow-up with me in a few days to ensure that I have received the promised check.

Please note that this is the third promised of check issuance. Previous I was given a different check number and check date. We'll see what happens!

The following is the text from an e-mail I sent to the CEO of Onrebate.com, Bill Gollum:

Mr. Gollan:

I just had the pleasure' of speaking with Nicki Thomas regarding my rebate.



I want some questions answered today. They are:

1. Does anyone in your company care about customer service?

2. Does anyone in your company know what is going on?

3. Can anyone in your company provide consistent information?

4. Do all of your employees enjoy working at a company that provides less than desirable service to its customers?

Please note that Nicki has promised me a call back before 5PM today with answers to all my e-mails.

As you are aware, I am thoroughly documenting every conversation and saving every e-mail sent, the receipts as well as the responses received.

If you care, I challenge YOU to step up to the plate and contact me by phone today at XXX-XXX-XXXX.

Once again I have received conflicting information from OnRebate.com.

I hav been e-mailing anyone and everyone at OnRebate. If you wish to flood their e-mail boxes the following are more -mail adressess you may wish to contact:

I received an e-mail today from Onrebate.com with information that conflicts with what was told to me last Friday. Today's e-mail states that my information has been sent to the Onrebate.com accounting department and my check will be issued within 3-5 business days. Last Friday I was told my Nikki Thomas (Customer Service Manager - LOL) that my check was issued on 11-16-06. Hmmmm....I truly hope the check, if issued, bounces when deposited in to my bank account. Rebate.Com can rest assured that it will cost them a heck of a lot more than the $50 rebate.

Since Nicki from OnRebate.Com never returned my call, I called her this morning. She was able to provide me with the check number and the date the check was issued which was yesterday. Please note that she originally told me that the check was issued two week ago In other words...NICKI LIED to me.

I also sent an e-mail to the CEO of the company. He can be reach at bill.gollan@onrebate.com. Other officers/employees at the compnay are: Anthony Jones, Carlos Incle, Marsha Tate, Antoine Myers and Paulo Silva. You can reach Marsha Tate on her cell phone number which is 786-487-1550
