Yesterday we received our Verizon bill and a collect call charge of $9.15 for a 4 minutes call which we never received appeared on our Verizon telephone under Billing for The Billing Resource on behalf of OSP Communications. The fraudulent collect call charge claims that the call was made from a 909-350-9819 from Fontana CA on December 4, 2008 to our home phone number.We immediately call 1 800 270 5405 that Verizon say to call for billing questions and someone gave us the following number for OSP Communications 1 866 460 0837. We called 1 866 460 0837 two times to ask them to reverse the charge and they said they will credit the amount of $9.15.

This morning we called Verizon to inform them about that charge and asking them what we shoul do to prevent this happening again and to credit our account. Verizon suggested to put a block on the line and that Verizon will be the only one to bill us. We agreed for Verizon to place a block on our line and we called again OSP Communications to make sure that they have reversed the charge and the lady to whom we talked told us that they credited us and she even told us to our surprise that we have a block on our phone line. We would like to know how OSP Communications knew that there is a block on our line? Do Verizon and OSP Communications working together to ripp off consumers? Do Verizon and OSP Communications using the same communication system?

To all of you when you you receive any bill PLEASE read it and dispute any charge that seems bogus to you.
