I contracted Peak Web to program a website that I designed. They were to be a sub-contractor for my company. All graphics, photos, screen shots and a web matrix were provided. They had my project in hand for 12 days before I met with Shane Kabashima, who wanted me to immediately sign a contract. A contract was never mentioned before this time. Peak Web had my project for 10 days before I had to call for an update on their progress. I sent an email in the interim asking if they needed any more information, or wanted to discuss the project and I did not receive any response from them.
At our meeting on March 22, I indicated was willing to sign the contract after I took it back to my office for review. I also stated that I would get them a check by March 26. Peak Web, in turn, assured me that they would have 6 pages for my review by 8:30 am on March 23.
Following is an excerpt of an email Peak Web sent me at 9:34pm on March 22 (keep in mind that the promised pages are due for client review in less than 12 hours), indicating that he cannot do any more work for your project until you sign the contract. It's our company policy that we can't work on the project of clients until clients sign the contract and we recieve a 100% or 50% of deposit.
Peak Web initially stated their normal turn-around time for this type of project is 14 days. The project was in their hands for 13 before they further delayed the project, and reneged on our verbal agreement.
I terminated our relationship, and was put in the unfortunate position of explaining to my client why his project wasnt done.
I want the word to get out that Peak Web Marketing (which has offices in Novi, Troy and Southfield, MI) is a disreputable company and they do not honor their agreements.

What Julie Steuer edesignjs@comcast.net from E Design, Inc. White Lake, MI stated here was not true.
First of all, we never had any contract, and she didn't sign the contract when we requested. Second of all, we have never received any money from her. The president of the company told me to not do any further work untiil E Design, Inc. signed a contract with E Design, Inc.
Here is an e-mail that I sent Julie Steuer from E Design, Inc. You can see the final e-mail correspondance between me and Julie Steuer from E Desiign, Inc (Please see the attachment)
"Dear Julie:
I spoke with the president regarding your case after I sent you the previous e-mail, and have been told to not to do any more
work for your project until you sign the contract. It's our company policy that we can't work on the project of clients until clients sign the contract and we recieve a 100% or 50% of deposit as stated in the contract. I expected you to sign the contract today, which is why I spent 4 hours creating HTML codes for your home page, but you didn't. Therefore, I am afraid that we can't do any
further work for your project until you meet our requirement. "
We didn't receive any money from E Design, Inc.. Also, E Design, Inc. has never signed the contract, even we requested. Therefore, we stopped working on her project under the order of my previous employer. How can she say "This is a rippoff"?
