Phil Dreessen Atk reps & O'Reilly district supervisors promised to pay for FULL replacement cost of an engine they knew was defective from the start. nOW THAT THE ENGINE Blew , It took them OVER 90 days to get me a new engine, and then ONLY paid $1035 of the $2800 total cost of replacing the engine. The people at ATK engines & O'Reily auto parts Knew that the engine for my csrpet cleaning truck had LOW oil pressure - 6 lbs at idle vs. 10 lbs or better, BUT they both said to run the engine till it blew - up ( hoping it would last). They said since it had a 100k mile warranty on it , they would PAY for the FULL replacement cost if it ever Blew-up.
Eleve months later & 10k mile the engine threw a rod out the side of the block & oil pan. It took them 9o days ( during my busiest time of year) to get me a new engine. I kept calling & they promised it would be right there week after week after week.
Now they have only paid only $1035 of the $2800 total cost of new parts & removal & replacement of the engine.They said they ONLY pay $45 dollars an hour for labor & NO replacement parts that were destroyed when it Blew-up. I have NOT heard of ANY shop only charging $45 dollars an hour for labor.
My friend Kevin has stopped buying from ATK & O'Reillys ( aprox. 600,000 per year till they resolve this matter. For their sakes it will be soon since 1800 is a whole lot less than 600K
