I original saw this add on groupon for  $99 dollars and figured maybe this will be something great for me. I only needed to drop a little over 20lbs. I have a ton of hormone issues that hold me back from dropping the weight like most women. I needed an extra budge to help. I did not purchase the groupon online, they told me to just come in and I could purchase it from them for a dollar more. I said not a problem. As soon as I got there they asked for my card and charged me before even going over anything with me. I felt a little pushed off by it, but I continued. The women helping me Tori was a gem.  So she does my BMI and all my measurements. Then sits me down and goes over everything with me now. You need to buy this and that and this and more of this. She shows me a detox paper. What to eat and not eat. I told her that I exercise everyday and already follow everything that is on this paper. Her response to me is "oh"  I'm a health nut and a gym freak. She says well you can come back next Thursday to talk to the physician about maybe getting a jump start on the appetite suppressants. I said okay, the doctor isn't here today. Not until, later. Ah ok. We have to do your blood work another day. Hmm okay.   So, I singed everything. She told me about buying more stuff. 45 packets to put in my water for 50$ then 8 lipo b shots for 100, so I'll go ahead and have you pay. I was like oh so now I have to purchase a ton more things. In my mind I was thinking this is not a deal, but I continued. I told her I already paid for it. ( if she would not told me this prior, I would not of been ok with prepaying with no con.) Did my EKG....
Cool gave me my minerals and multi fits and made an appt for tomorrow for blood work and b12 shot.
Thought about it, talked it over with my babe and some close girl friends. Fellow nurse friends. Amanda you got scammed. You are so healthy. I don't even drink! (Anymore) haha
I called back and said I was disappointed and discouraged about my visit. I never even saw a doctor. I want a refund. I will happily bring back my multi vit pack . Tori said she will talk to the owner of the pwlc. Wait what! It's a franchise! I said that's fine, I would pay for the difference in the EKG.
Hello!!,
I get a very defensive rude phone call back from the Owner. Jerry. Oh man, if I had a dollar for how many times he called me young lady... How dare you talk down to me. I am an educated women.. Anyways... I asked for a refund, he said no. I asked why. He said he gave me a $200 dollar service. I asked him what that was. He said I told have to tell you! I laughed. He said don't laugh at me. I told him I would pay for the difference of the EKG. He didn't even know the price of one. Smh!! After 10min of him talking in circles about giving a detox program. ( it's a piece of paper that tells you to eat veggies and meats ) no carbs. UM DUH. He continued to yell at me and tell me he will not give me a refund. I said you are so unprofessional. Yelling at a paying customer and saying you signed a contract. I  did because I already paid or I would not of! I will take blame for that. I will on the other hand write a review about you and let other people know. I will report you to the better business bureau. Enjoy my money PWLC of Webster! Horrible manners Jerry.
Also Groupon... Stop using this horrible pyramid scheme franchise company!

Physicians Weight Loss Centers has been in business for 35 years and has helped its clients lose a total of 52 million pounds since 1979. We, as a company take pride in helping people on their weight loss journey. Our employees are all trained and certified professionals. The programs we offer require the supervision of a Licensed Medical Doctor. We provide several Weight Loss aids/products to our clients to assist them to their goal Weight. Many of these extraordinary products are exclusively formulated for Physicians Weight Loss Centers to significantly impact our clients’ weight loss. We currently have 110 active weight loss clients that are on our programs with the biggest loser at around 100 pounds. All are losing weight and on their way to their goal. Additionally, we have 275 current B12/Super Lipo B injection clients that are happy with our products and services.

The complainant has labeled our company as a pyramid scheme and may be personally liable for these false claims. We may be pursuing legal solutions to these false claims.

The following are rebuttals to the complainants false statements outlined in her report:

1)      Complainant States: They ask for my credit card and charged me before even going over anything with me.

Rebuttal: False Statement. Complainant called our center on Wednesday the day before coming in to purchase the program and ask for information on the Coupon that she found online. Tori proceeded to inform and explain all the details that were obvious to see on the coupon website. Tori told her that she would need to purchase the coupon online if she was interested and if she had trouble getting it to go thru she could come in and purchase at the center. Complainant said she was researching other options and would think about it. The next morning on Thursday the complainant called again and said decided to go with us and wanted to make an appointment and get started. Tori ask if she had purchased the coupon, she replied no she would pay at the center and wanted to come in today. She came in for her appointment and was ask how she was going to pay for the discounted services. She pulled her card and paid the $100 dollars that was discussed with her the day before.

2)      Complainant States: You need to buy this and that and this and more of this.

Rebuttal: False Statement. Tori explained to her some of the diet aids/products that we offer all of our clients to help the client reach their goal weight. At no time did she say you have to buy these. Most clients understand the value of these aids and decide on their own if they want to purchase them. These are recommendations and are proven to support weight loss.

3)      Complainant States: She says well you can come back next Thursday to talk to the Physician about maybe getting a jump start on the appetite suppressants. I said OK, the doctor isn’t here today? Not until later. Ah OK. We have to do blood work another day. Hmm okay.

Rebuttal: This is Company Protocol: The client must fast 12 hours before blood work can be done. The client was scheduled for the following morning for her blood draw. Clients are scheduled to see the Doctor by appointment after a week of detox, this allows for the results of the blood work to be received, the client file to be assembled with all the medical test results in it so the doctor can review before the appointment. The detox diet is only for the first week. This cleanses your body of toxins and stabilizes your blood sugar levels, jump starts your metabolism to prepare you for your new approved diet. During the doctor visit, the doctor will discuss any medical issues you may have concerning your weight loss program. Appetite suppressants may be prescribed if the doctor deems them necessary after reviewing all medical tests.

4)      Complainant States: I was like oh so now I have to purchase a ton of more things. In my mind I was thinking this is not a deal, but I continued. I told her I already paid for it. ( if she would have told me this prior, I would not have been ok with prepaying with no con )

Rebuttal: False Statement. As outlined above the complainant discussed with us on two prior phone calls what she would receive from the discounted coupon. Also, the coupon she wanted to purchase detailed what services were provided. Coupon services are required to be prepaid. To say that it was already paid for it is a false statement.

5)      Complainant States: I never even seen a doctor. I want a refund. He called me Young lady. How dare you talk down to me, I am an educated women. He didn’t even know the price of EKG. No carbs, UM DUH. He continued to yell at me.

Rebuttal: False Statement. Client was informed that her doctor appointment would be after the first week of detox. By protocol, the doctors order requires that all medical testing is received and reviewed before the appointment. My statement to her over the phone was “Young lady you need to calm down” , this was stated twice because she was screaming in the phone and would not allow for any type of real professional discussion . I don’t know how saying young lady is equal to downgrading her. Our company does not sell EKG’s separately, our cost for a regular priced program fee consist of a lump sum price containing all medical services provided. I told her that so far she was provided with approximately $200.00 in services and the signed  contract that was explained to be nonrefundable after services started. She was completely unprofessional. The detox diet that has been posted on this site is proprietary does not state No Carbs Only. It is very specific to what foods and quantities are allowed during the detox week. There are a lot of foods that cannot be taken other than carbs. This is proven to work as we have many customers that are happy with the results. The only yelling that was going on was from the complainant.

We at Physicians Weight Loss Centers are appalled by the statements and the anger this person displayed and filed on this site. We want to assure you that we will not accept these false statements and are saddened that we have to respond to someone that only wants to hurt our reputation because they didn’t get their way instead of a professional resolution based on facts.
