I just got off the phone with ATT asking about a mysterious $10 charge that has been on our bill for the past few months. I call about it every month to have it removed and ask different service reps to give me more information about the charges. They never told me it was a subscription and I didn't think to ask because I NEVER SIGNED UP FOR ONE.
I never recieve any conclusive information. Today, I had them remove it and block our phones from being billed by third party charges in the future (unless authorized with a private pin #). I didn't know we had that option before.
Short story; play.playphone.com has been charging my family $10/month. Their "services" were never asked for OR rendered in any way. I never recieved any texts or emails to any of our phonelines indicating that we had any kind of ringtone/gaming subscription. Complete and utter bullsh*t.
What a horrible scam.
I called the MMA to complain since I was unable to find contact information for play.playphone.com. After being on hold to give a complaint to a representive for several minutes, I was disconnected. Rather than call back and have it happen repeatedly, I decided to leave a report here. I hope this helps someone keep play.playphone.com stay OUT of their pockets.

I agree with the original post. I starting having the same $9.98 charge in November on one of my phones. I never received any services. When I checked the charge is was for "PlayCredits" from Playphone Inc. We never received any services from this company, have none of their games loaded. I fully intend to file a complaint with the BBB about this sleazy company.
Note: I went into my AT&T account and turned off purchases billed to my account to prevent any other sleazy company from pulling this stunt.
