Each season we see commercials that advertise a pool for only $249.00 encludes, pump, filter,& ladder, It usally also says only for home owners, and no singlewides. So tell me how many have see this commercial.?? I live in a park own a triple wide and called for this pool but was told I can't buy this pool because I didn't own the land. The park owner has given me permission to have this pool on my lot and said he would write a statement in reference to this.

Again I was told no. Now the man which lives in the next trailor to me is in a single wide also doesn't own the land got a pool from the same company. He just happened to have a lady come and sell it to him.

When I called the company to ask what is going on here.?? same resonce was I don't own the land.Well I video taped the commerical to play it back to assure I was reading it correctly so there would be no mistake on my part,I called again this time I was told I would have to run a credit check And I asked why do I need a credit check to purchase a $249.00 pool.??

You see the man next door was talked it to buying the elite model a little over $3,000 on a piece of land he doesn't own and lives in a singlewide which there ad says is a no no. So there's there gimmick advertise the pool at $249.00 and try to be talked into buying a more expensive pool.

I also found out from the better business beauru the company goes by many names, Hawaiian pools, sea island pools, the pool depot inc, There company is is Dalles Texas, & Atlanta Georgia,Raliegh North Carolina I have reported them to all the better business beauru..POOL BUYERS BEWARE

Pool sales companies, some info

AUTHOR: F - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, October 28, 2007

The pool co. you reported is one of several that are bait and switch companies.
Deceptive advertising is the name of their sales game. The idea is to make the phone ring, if they advertise that pool for $3,000, then few calls, but most people know it's bait n switch. Most likely they didn't get your credit info over the phone is why you were rejected or you gave it and your score was too low, however they are correct, you need to own your land for pool installation. If you were going to install it yourself, that is different.
Even if the land/park owner gave you written permission and let's say the liner burst and it flooded the next trailer, who is responsible to pay the damages? You or the lot owner that gave you permission?
They can not nor will not sell you that pool for $299 or whatever close, the ad says installation additional. $299 won't even buy a decent filter system. Do some research on prices first before you call these companies. Most sub contract all the installation anyway, they are just sales people wanting commission, and they know how to rip you if they choose, some people loose their homes to them for non payment too, remember the pool is considered a home inprovement loan and secured to your property, so if you rent the land your home can not be attached, perhaps there is your answer.

How it all works

AUTHOR: F - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, June 23, 2006

I read your comments even though 4 years old. This company now name is "Blue World Pools" and operates out of Atlanta. It's home office is in Nevada. One reason is as on all contracts if you sue you have to go to the companies home office, which is probablly a small office in a home maybe. Yes as many pool companies it's bait n switch. Show pool closes etc. What you said makes no sense as to them installing next door, unless that man paid cash. Most lenders will not finance single wide trailers is why and the pool company doesn't want to waste time on you and the salesman must pay for his own gasoline and vehicle. When they run these ads they get a large amount of calls and try to screen out. Since they want to sell you a much more expensive pool then they think you need to finance anyway. This company as well has in house financing at a big interest rate and likes that I'm sure.
