If you are a company looking for a payroll provider or looking for a career in payroll sales do not look into Priority Pay Payroll. Priority Pay is a company that advertises at least a 50 percent savings from a business's current payroll provider. Your employees will not get paid and they are the shadiest payroll company out there. If you are looking for a sales job with Priority Pay do not accept it. They will try and offer you a base commision over 50,000 and promise the sun, moon and stars. They offer no training and will fire you if you do not sell at least one account in you first 10 days of employment. They recently hired and fired four sales reps in Florida in a matter of four weeks and won't even pay the employees for hours worked. The people that own and operate Priority Pay Payroll needs to be investigated and they should be shut down.

Incredible

AUTHOR: Confused and Appalled - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, November 14, 2012

I was looking for Priority Payments, and came across this post. Interesting to see grown men and women bicker like little children, ex-employees crying for pay like little babies for their bottle. Want your baba? Learn how to close! Constructive criticism? Train your employees better and you will have  successful reps and satisfied clients. Concerned with inconsistent ACH withdrawals? May be an annual or quarterly fee. Read your contract.

Looking for a free card reader for your iphone, android, blackberry, or ipad? Go to phone swipe setup dot com and apply for free - no contract no monthly fees no shipping - even if you dont have a business you can use it at a yard sale, donations, or to square away a debt or bet on that college game. Everyone should have one. Its free. Great to have just in case. Remember phone swipe setup dot com. Go there now and apply its free.

I hope I was able to help.

Ciao

Priority Pay - ruined my day

AUTHOR: Matt - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, July 18, 2011

I am in the same boat with the IRS.  Priority Pay failed to pay my 4th quarter 2009 taxes - instead they just kept the money, and now it seems I'm out of luck, and owe the IRS the money I thought I'd already paid...

Does anyone know if Priority Pay was bonded?  If so, if someone could point me in the right direction that would be great.  Any other suggestions would be helpful.

Priority Pay is the worst, and the guy that stole our money is the worst of the worst.  I hope he's somewhere horrible.

AUTHOR: Natalie Seaber - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, February 09, 2011

Hello,

I am hoping someone will be able to help me. We had to close our small business in Kentucky almost 2 years ago. We used Priority Payroll and honestly had a great experience. Or so we thought. We just got letters from KY State an the Social Security Administration stating we owed back monies to them both and they were never paid. I thought it had to be an error. What do I do now? I have proof of what the company sent me showing they paid and will be copying and sending to both agencies but will this surfice or will I need to be responsbile? If so, why wouldn't they go after the company instead of a small business owner? Natalie

Jerry Carter Will Get His

AUTHOR: Stacey - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, August 23, 2010

Jerry Carter, former "owner" of Priority Pay Payroll AKA First Priority Pay Payroll (FPP), is a lying scumbag. He's is in the process of attempting to file bankruptcy both personally and on behalf of  for the payroll company and personally. He DID work for City Pay, a company which pulled similar scams on its clients. The owner of City Pay went to jail, and that is where Jerry belongs. Unfortunately, once City Pay closed, Jerry was well versed in scamming people out of payroll taxes and opened his own company. Payroll taxes that Carter's company promised were being paid to the IRS were instead stolen. Just like was previously mentioned, Jerry and his lowlife mother, Karen, sent out ficticious tax forms and other misleading documents when questioned by clients about late notices for unpaid taxes. Carter initally scapegoated former employees, Jose Figueroa and Carlos Chorro. Figueroa is now running another payroll company, United Payroll Pros (Springfield, New Jersey residents BEWARE). While Figueroa was only accused of stealing a little over $600K, losses are now in the millions, while Jerry Carter plays dumb in bankruptcy court and claims he has no idea what happened to all the money. He even had the nerve to testify that he has no idea what happened to the furnishings and contents of an entire sattelite office he owned. Jerry also had fraudlent information on the website for FPP stating he was bonded and insured, which was an absolute lie. The only insurance he had was a policy that paid benefits to HIM for "employee dishonesty," which is probably why he accused Figueroa and Chorro of stealing from him. When questioned in bankruptcy court on May 14, 2010 regarding approximately $40,000 in funds Carter withdrew from FPP accounts within 45 days of the hearing, money which should have gone to his victims, his response was, ". .  . I don't remember what the funds were used for." He also testified in bankruptcy court to paying his mother, Karen Carter, and employees Amanda Reis and Dotty Robles for working IN CASH, as recently as the week of May 7, 2010, something I have pushed for the IRS to investigate and prosecute. I could go on and on. Carter is a scumbag, and those of use who were ripped off and victimized by this piece of garbage will do whatever it takes to see him pay for his crimes. If he doesn't go to jail, lose everything he owns, and suffer greatly - there is no justice in this world. Everything I have said here can be verified through online reports and bankruptcy and other criminal court documents in New Jersey. Don't just take my word for it, go see for yourself.

I am sorry First Priority Pay clients and others

AUTHOR: Joy pachowicz - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, May 30, 2010

I need to say I never realized how things were transpiring in the company as I worked remotely from one apartment or another. I was told when and what to saythrough blogs.. often times late at night.. without pay.

I myself became a victim of this company and was a "star" sales person. When one is threatened with loss of job or worse ..one writes what the boss says.

I am sorry that the company failed to pay taxes..why they did this despite tellingcustomers they were handling it; I don't know. I was never   worked in the office.

Regarding Cameras at work, many employers had them; but, they should never been put in any areas that would violate an employee's rights. cameras can help if there is theft or danger; but they can also intrude if placed where they should not be!

I am sorry for all those who trusted First Priority Pay! I fell for them.. I was even told after they sold to ADP that they were going to rebuild the company. I never realized that this company was actually closing completely. When I questioned the owner would tell me "I just sold the database, we are going to rebuild the company back".

When remote, one never knows everything going on. you have only to trust that everything is going well!

I, myself, don't understand how the owner of any company is not held responsible for things that went on within. Each year I asked about bond and insurance and would be passed pdf files to forward to clients. I had no reason to think that a company didn't have this coverage to protect clients...I always thought that a bond protected from employee theft and other things and that insurance protected the client as well.. WasI misled ? Was there no such things.

My only point of contact in First priroity pay was the owner and  occassionally the person who cut checks when I didn't get my pay or reimbursements that were promised. I also was carted around by the owner's buddy ..whoever that was.

I just want to say sorry. I am so hurt and disillusioned by this work with first priority pay. I never, in my life, had known such things happened .. I had been protected from knowing or seeing such things.

I am really upset that I worked for such a company and believed the owner and moved away from home to help his company more..which turned out to be not the truth!

First Priority Pay is a scam

AUTHOR: Srii - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, April 08, 2010

FPP took our money for taxes and did not pay them to the IRS. They did not file the tax returns either. I see that there have been complaints in 2008! I wish we had researched them back then. These employees are praising their company and CEO. However, they have been scammers. Jerry Carter blames his employee; however, this scam had been going on since 2008 (as far as I know) or maybe earlier than that. And FPP committed the same fraud AFTER the embezzlement was discovered.

PLUS FPP also sent false notices to (former) clients like me with IRS payments scheduled. But these payments never reached the IRS and we were never notified either. So FPP is totally responsible for this fraud. A conservative estimate of the scam is in the millions. One company has lost over $350,000. FPP has to be investigated for fraud and Jerry Carter needs to be criminally prosecuted.

VERY dissatisfied customer

AUTHOR: Capra - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, February 22, 2010

As a customer of Priority Pay, I'm now in the unfortunate position of having been one of the people whose tax money was embezzled, meaning that I have spent countless hours on the phone with the IRS, with First Priority Pay (whose phone is constantly busy and all the lines: operations, taxes, sales, etc. now direct you to Jerry Carter's desk), countless rounds of e-mails with them since this first came to my attention in July, at which time they (apparently lied) and told me that the taxes weren't paid due to an accounting error--with no resolution.  So now, in addition to the tax money that I already paid, I owe the IRS months and months of penalties amounting to thousands of dollars.  The company I ran that used them is out of business with no assets, while these criminals are running away with their millions and billions.  And apparently Priority Pay is also out of business.  I called ADP, and they said they bought none of the debt, only the client lists.  Fabulous!  What is a small business supposed to do?

Priority Pay is crap, CEO under indictment

AUTHOR: cringle - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, January 28, 2010

I don't know about the employee drama, but as a VERY DISSATISFIED ex customer - the company promises you all kinds of services will be included in your price, and then forgets them all and makes YOU email THEM THEIR OWN EMAILS TO YOU in which they promised all the stuff. We're talking W2s, payroll taxes, things you are legally on the hook for - and up the creek for thanks to PriorityPay! And then they promise you they're going to FedEx you your stuff that they forgot to do AND DONT. Good thing I was a squeaky wheel or I would have been S.O.L. with those fazools.

The lesson I learned from PriorityPay is - go with reliable vendors even if you have to pay more to do so.

Google PriorityPay and find out all about their wonderful chief exec.

Read through the article to get to the link of the VP embezzling nearly $600,000.

LOW PRIORITY PAY... BIG JOKE

AUTHOR: Emmett - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 09, 2009

On December 3rd 2009 the Jersey Journal reported that Jose Figueroa, Vice President of Operations for Priority Pay was alleged to have embezzled over 600K from First Priority Pay Payroll.  Jose embezzled the money from an escrow account used to pay payroll taxes for First Priority Pay's clients.

This is but a small example of the ineptitude and unethical practices that are running rampant at this company. If you are a business currently using Priority Pay you are jeopardizing your company's fiscal position by giving Priority Pay access to your account and rolling the dice in terms of hoping that your taxes will be paid on time if paid at all.

If you are a business thinking about doing business with Priority Pay then cut your loses and use a reputable business like ADP, Paychex who are leaders in the business.

Please spare yourself the agony of this company and look else where.

P.S. Joy spare us with your pathetic rebuttals you are nothing more than a washed up degenerate who has been unable to secure a REAL job and is nothing more than a lap dog trying to defend a corrupt and pathetic company.  How can you sleep at night selling a service to hard working small business owners knowing that they are going to be ripped out.  May god have mercy on your soul.

POSTED: Monday, July 20, 2009

Didn't Jerry work for another payroll company called City Pay? If in fact he did I used them a while back and was scammed out of $4000 because they failed to pay my taxes. This company Priority Pay almost sounds like the same set up as City Pay.

When you use a third party tax service like they are using, your fate does rely in the hands of someone else (Ceridian) but the company handeling things upfront (Priority Pay) control the money. They can put the blame on the third party and say it wasn't their fault. Companies like this go out of business every year and leave their clients broke. I think Bernie Madoff may be their advisor. Be aware. If you recieve tax notices you should be worried. If you are using a legitimate payroll company you should never recieve a tax notice. Anyone can start their own payroll company and the client can never tell how secure they are. Start by doing a search on the Better Business Bureau. They have quite a few complaints.

In Defense of First Priority Pay and in response to John's post?

AUTHOR: Joy Pachowicz - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, July 16, 2009

Now, usually I have been trying not to patronize this site by responding to crazy
stuff like this but it's going too far..

First off I am Joy ..my name is Joy Pachowicz..My address is
45 Glimcher Realty Way . Elizabeth NJ 07201

Feel free to come visit me J

I have never been to California.

Prior to moving closer to the
company in NJ I lived in WV. ..and why not ask me..I have been
with the company for almost four years.

We have standards at First Priority Pay we must measure up to as
our company has to handle thousands of client's accounts.

We cannot compromise any customer's account by keeping
people who are not doing their job correctly..It's this way with
any company.not just First Priority Pay.

Jerry does have a MBA .. I know this for a fact..His certificate
is hanging in his office. I know Jerry..He's my best friend.. I have met him and know him
and we speak often .. He is my immediate supervisor besides being
the owner of the company.

Regarding taxes CTS ..Ceridian Tax Services is our tax division. They make the debits to our clients and make the tax payments for us.

As to the personal attacks on Jerry, you have some nerve.. who are you
to start accusing someone publicly of one thing or another..
I am sure Jerry's credit is fine. How would you know one way or the other anyway?

Also I know Karen Jerry's mother and she is not on welfare. That's a joke.

If you didnt make it with our company move on .. if you think you are a
great salesman .. you should easily find a job and do well at it..

What is your name? Where did you work prior to First Priority
Pay: Did you get fired from your other job? Why are you throwing
a tantrum on this public gossip page?

Prior to working for First Priority Pay I took care of an Elderly Lady in
evenings for 6 1/2 years never was fired. I did part -time telemarketing
during the day..and never was fired..

You are upset that you couldnt meet your quota..Jerry didn't fire you..Your
Sales Managers did that..Jerry has nothing to do with your being dismissed.
You were released by your Supervisor and really you, yourself got yourself fired.

If you don't perform well in sales consider another job.! Maybe you will
do well sitting in an office as a clerk?

How about putting your name down here..if you are so bold?

I hope you get over the fact that you were not cut out to work for our
company..move on..find a new job.. and stop tearing down the company
I work for..it's a great company..and I love working here at FIrst Priority Pay.

Worse Company I have ever worked for.

AUTHOR: John - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, July 08, 2009

Now I worked for this company and let me tell you that the scams that Jerry tried to pull were incredible. While working there I saw at least 5 different salesman fired within a month. Not to mention the other 5 customer service representatives who quit during my short stay there. I found out that this Jerry character had a lien on his home and used the company's account (Clients Employers tax withholdings) as collateral for his personal use. He also was sued by his prior employer because he visited some of the company's clients which he attained while working for them; When he started working at a new company he advised clients that there was new paperwork which needed to be signed and switch them to his new company without the consent or knowledge of the clients. (Look it up there was a out of court settlement on this case) Insane!!!.. Company's IRS payments were constantly not being made per Jerry's request because they were not enough funds in the account. Only when company's called in to complain of the IRS notifications which came in at a rate of about 50 a week were payments at times made. Not to mention that this scum bag has a reputation of not paying his employees their last entitled check. I left the company because I was affraid that the company would be audited by the IRS and feared coming into work and seeing yellow tape all over. He does claim to hold an MBA; now I hold and MBA and Jerry claiming to hold one is a huge laugh, he is perhaps one of the dumbest people that I have met in my life; from what I hear he has a GED. So don't be fulled by this scam artist and think twice before entrusting your company's future with this scam. Lets not forget about his VP that worked for paychex and was fired due to offering companies free payroll in exchange for personal gifts; THIEVES!!!!.. So do not believe Joy who probably has never even been to Hoboken and lives in California and her only relationship with Jerry is via the telephone. This guy is such a scam artist that he has his own mother working at the office and she is on welfare. He pulls it off by not reporting her wages to the IRS. Tax evation I hear..IT WOULD NOT BE WISE TO DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE..

scam artist/liars/crooks

AUTHOR: Franjoy - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, September 30, 2008

Jerry is a liar, he claims to have an MBA, but doesn't have a college degree. PPP lies about bonus, pay and raises to employees. They lie to customers by giving discounts in the beginning and raising rates later in the future. JC has a horrible credit history which he hides from company. Joy writes all these great articles about a company that is a total scam only to kiss a*s. She knows that all reps are asked to cheat on paperwork, contracts are vague so that customers don't know what they sign. Class action suit will put Jerry and other scammers in jail for good, crooks like them don't deserve to be out on the street. Shame on YOU! CEO what a joke.

Priority Pay Payroll is loaded with scum from top to bottom

AUTHOR: Look At Scott's Nose - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, September 19, 2008

Next time you look at Scott look up his nose, whatever he has been sticking up there has burned away the cartlidge that seperates nostrils. It's really gross and laughable at the same time. He is obviously a mess, butt he is that half a homo's (Jerry) butt buddy. Funny how a company can be such a mess and one week (hiring week) an employee defends it, than two short weeks later and no paycheck this same person is bashing one of the most disgusting pieces of garbage in the payroll business and that is saying a lot!!

Jerry is a born Liar, I have known him since he was only a petty thief now that he is stealing at felony levels he has really moved up! He has always wanted to be a mafioso so now he's the Don of payroll. When the government finally finalize the case they have on him it's going to put the Don in the paper and he will get his 15 minutes of fame that he is so desperately looking for. (talk about not enough hugs from mommy and daddy as a kid)
I truly feel for all the good people that Jerry Carter has screwed over in 2008 alone. I am so happy to hear that they are putting together a class action lawsuit to defend themselves and get their last checks that he hasn't paid to over 30 sales folks. Jerry Carter is a thief of the worst kind, he steals from his employees and lines his pockets with the money. He lies to the clients and makes the spreadsheets too difficult to read and understand when simply trying to break out the cost of running a payroll. He quotes one price and charges a much higher one. IF you are a client get out asap, if you are an employee get out even faster!!! Jerry Carter is dirt and should be treated as such in prison!

AUTHOR: Randy - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, August 15, 2008

I use to be a customer but found out you get what you pay for. They claim to be cheaper, they are, they claim to be better, they are not even close. With my previous provider they took payments out of my account and I knew what they were for (usually 3 per pay period. Processing fees, taxes and direct deposit) but with Priority Pay they were taking 6 sometimes 7 payments out of my account and I had no idea what they were using the money for. Then I started to get tax notices. I left before something bad happened and they did not return the money they pulled for taxes until 2 months after I left. When you are trusting someone to go into your account and pull what ever they want you should trust them. I would not trust these guys especially after I found their VP worked for another payroll in the same area that was being investigated for fraud. BE VERY CAREFUL.

There are so many jobs out there and if you didn't fit the requirements for a company that needs sales people; perhaps you should try another job?

Why complain on this site for being fired after 3 weeks?

Should you not succeed at your next job ..will you be on here posting again?

Jerry is a really awesome boss....He is super busy, yes..but He really cares about all his employees and clients!

Perhaps when he asked you what you wanted to do he was inviting you to show some initiative? Sales is all about taking initiative and being able to think for yourself sometimes..You can't always have someone holding your hand.

I love my job with Priority Pay Payroll and I have been with the company 2 1/2 years..employees do stay and not everyone gets fired.

Perhaps sales is not for you? Maybe an office job would be better?

I hope you let go of your ill feelings and move on and stop whiining about a job you were unable to keep.

I hiope you find something you are good at.

Priority Pay is a Joke

AUTHOR: Scott - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, July 03, 2008

I agree with the original poster, because I also worked for Priority Pay for a very short time. I would not let them fire me because I wouldn't give Jerry the satisfaction, so I resighned after working there three weeks. The owner sent three of us to New Jersey for training and it was the worst training I've ever attended with a company. The first Day we waited in a office for 45 minutes before anyone acknowledged us and then we went back to Jerrys office and he asked us what do we wanted to do that week. We all looked at each other in amazement, because normally companies have training figured out and don't have to ask new hires what they would like to do. None of the three that went to New Jersey three months ago are with the company and he also hired and fired another employee since then.

Anyway; This company has a rule that if you do not sell someone within your first two weeks your fired. There is also major deficiencies with there service. If I was a business owner there is no way I would trust this company with my payroll; if you do Good Luck, you'll need it!

Priority Pay Payroll does what it says

AUTHOR: Joy - (U.S.A.)

Ok: I think it's awful that someone should write such a terrible thing about this wonderful company. It appears to be a disgruntled lazy employee.

I work for Priority Pay Payroll and have done so for over 2 years.

The complainer more then likely sat on his laurels and expected money to fall into his lap without putting forth any effort.

I know for a fact that the company delivers on it's promise. IF you work and do your job you are paid.

If you hand in a resume to be a sale person..You better sell.

The owner treats his employees very well.

It's too bad that people come to be employed or work without making any effort to work.

I have never not been paid by my Employer: Priority Pay Payroll

I know for a fact that if a problem arises tit is handled in a professional and timely matter.

Only a coward comes and complains online and in public as a means of getting back at their employer for being fired.

Who wants to risk hiring such a person.

If you got fired move on; but if I were an employer I would wonder about hiring such a person...

I cannot disagree with you more!

First off, I would like to go on record and say the person who typed in this horrible, miscued, demented lie regarding my company, which I am so loyal to please come forward! I know your name isn't Scott since he is one of my esteemed reps in New Jersey. This person is a coward to even come forward but please do! I challenge you!

Priority Pay Payroll is the premier payroll provider that is nationally recognized and growing at leeps and bounds. I'm not sure where this gentlemen gets off by attacking the character of this highly touted company but he must have been weak at the heart. We have grown 10 fold over the past year with every sales rep is projected to make in the six figures. Not once have I ever heard my reps promise that we can save clients over 50% from their current payroll provider. We can but we do not promise that. It's more of a savings anywhere from 30% to 60% maybe even more! Numbers do not lie. So if you are a business owner reading this then please reach out to me and we can discuss!

As a sales rep (for over a year now) and currently sales manager for this company I have seen so many great things while here. Besides given the ability to grow this business and make into the six figures from a total compensation standpoint, I am working with some of the greatest people in this industry. I not only have enjoyed a stable career but grown as a person both personally and from a business standpoint. Our sales reps are "A" candidates with motivation beyond belief. If you're looking for a company to grow, make a six figures salary and be rewarded on your production then look no further. I personally have been rewarded a great salary, commission, and excellent monthly bonuses. But it takes hard work. Getting up at 6 AM and working till 10 PM sometimes is what you need to succeed and make money. Everyone knows that! Priority Pay Payroll is no different. We as sales reps will do anything to close business and that could mean meeting with a business owner on the weekend or attending a late dinner to close the deal. Our reps understand that to succeed it has to be something you cannot live without and do anything to make it happen. Unfortunately, the poor sole who decided to post this report must have slipped through the interview cracks and thought he was going to get a free paycheck by not producing. If you he did not close a deal in 10 days then he was definitely doing something wrong like not selling nor communicating with his powers to be (and watching Tyra in the middle of the day does not constitute your powers to be).

This is a sales driven organization. You will be offered the "sun, moon, and stars" only if you produce. That's with any sales organization. If you are looking to grow, make money and have the ability to succeed at all costs then please reach out to me and we can talk.
