I'm guessing that if you are reading this, a fast talking yet sincere sounding young man or woman has just come to your door, and finalized a transaction that leaves a funny feeling in your stomach. You are at this website looking up the company because something just seemed a little off about the whole thing.

And it probably is.

My guess is you were guilted into buying an extremely overpriced, and relatively useless cleaning agent because the sales person told you that it was helping get kids off the street. Kind of like when the kids sell those mediocre 25 cent candy bars for a dollar for charity. Make no mistake, Pumppers Trust is not a charity. My research has indicated that they are a for-profit company and they have no social or community programs that I am aware of aside from taking motivated and fast talking pushers and sending them to your front door to sell this useless product.

My sales guy came at night, which I thought was odd. Every instinct told me to tell him to go away, but he was very convincing. He began his demo and got me to listen with a "How would you like to support a program that helps get kids off the street?" So I listened. I watched his demo in my driveway, because there was no way he was getting into my house. The product seemed to work all right on my car and on the oxidation on the headlamp of my car. I had no need for the product, but he did a good job of making it sound like I would be supporting a good cause, so I shelled out the $50+ (49.95 + 5.00 handling fee + sales tax).

Then I came inside and he left. I hadn't realized out in the driveway, but the bottle he gave me had a dirty cap and most of the lettering on the bottle was worn off. Now I had a bad feeling. I went to the net, and looked them up just as you are doing right now. I was pretty mad to realize there was no affiliation with any charitable organizations. The next morning I went out and the oxidation that he had "seemed" to clean off my headlight had come right back, it was no cleaner than before his demo.

At this point, you have a couple of options. You can try for the refund. I have a feeling it is going to be a struggle. If your bottle is worn as mine was, they probably won't take it back (I'm guessing that's the idea). Also, these criminals are going to be coming back to your house to pick it up. You might have a chance if you paid by check. If it is quick enough you can stop pay the check. You have to be very quick though because they tag your bank ASAP (again, part of the strategy). Your last, and least appealing but probably most productive option is to do nothing and learn the lesson not to ever, ever trust anyone who comes to your house soliciting again.
