After buying a 2 year old home with a new hydronic floor heating system in it I didn't know who else to call for maintenance. R professional Services or owner Rollin Shuck had his information attached to my system since he is the one who originally installed it. 

I could spend a lot of time with lots of detail as to why I wouldn't recommend this man or company for any services but I will just give the brief description.  I recently had my basement remodeled and the contractors punctured a waterline and got air in the system, Supposedly!  This causing my heating system to not heat properly due to air in the lines. 

According to the contractors, Rollin quoted it would cost about 200. to remove the air from the lines. After Rollin took the air out of the lines he decided to charge the contractor a higher rate per hour bringing his bill to $300.00 This should've been my first red flag that he was a crook. After he bled the lines he then went to my upstairs system since another one of my zones wasn't heating and he started telling me I needed to replace several valves because they were stuck. This had nothing to do with getting heat to my home but I ok'd him to replace several of the caleffi valves since I want my system to work at its optimum level. Before it was done he said I had to replace a pressure regulator, a pressure and temp guage, and more calleffi valves. $1300.00 later I am in the same heating situation I was when I started. 

Mr Shuck also wanted me to prepay for parts before he would order them. He said he doesn't have any accounts and only pays cash for things. I wasn't about to pre pay him for parts, no telling when they would come in.

This whole process took over 6 weeks for him to come out initially until he took my check and rushed it to the bank. After I told him about the problem not being fixed, the very next morning, he said he would come out again but be prepared to pay for more time. At least a couple more hours. I really didn't want to pay him anymore to do what he was suppose to have already done. I quote, "OK, just preparing you for a couple more hours of cost. I could've waited several hours yesterday but we were getting hot water to that manifold I believed It was OK, I guess I was wrong."  Well, if he was wrong he should've been willing to fix it correctly. 

After I agreed to let him come out again, later that day, for more hours of work, He didn't show up again, no phone call or any explanation, and check was cashed and he wouldn't reply to my text messages. 

He had not showed up several times throughout this 6 week period, didn't return my calls or texts many times, just seemed very uncaring. Why did Mr Shuck think that being without heat in the middle of winter is no big deal. I can only be thankful that we went out and bought another space heater for our bedroom. I am glad we didn't have children in the house.

I guess I probably shouldnt have used him after my first impression of his business practices but he started saying he was a Christian man and claimed to be a Dave Ramsey fan. Well, I am not sure what to believe that he tells me anymore.

I would not recommend anyone to use his services or have any dealings with him. If so do at your own risk. He appeared to be a big talker and does have a way with words. People who provide this level of services should not be in business.

Its not about me, Its about treating other people with care, concern, and respect. About being a man of integrity. About thinking of other people needs above your own.  Its not all about making a buck.  

After I had another company come out and they re-diagnosed the problem and it ended up I had two pumps stuck and they were freed within about 10 minutes and problem was solved. There is a screw on the side of the pumps that when adjusted it can free the pump if they get stuck. Also once the two pumps started working properly the air in the lines were immediately cleared out. You could actually hear the air escaping. Not requiring a service person to spend hours bleeding the lines.  So, I spent $1300.00 to this company and my problem was never fixed.

 I would like to say first of all that I do my best to be honest and fair with all customers.

I was called to this job after the owner hired a contractor to remodel his basement the cut into the floof and damaged tubing in the floor which allowed air to enter the system.

I am truly sorry that this home owner is upset but I can not be responible for what other people do. This system has worked fine for the five plus years it has been working even the first year he lived there.

The system has had some other issues that we corrected that the manufacturer (Calefi) has been contacted and the local supplier ( Cody Sales 816-252-4005) who ordered the parts for the Calefi manifolds. They were called as soon as I found the  issues with the manifolds and we worked very hard to figure out what was causing the problem including completly tearing down the boiler and parts around it that also were bad. I gave this customer a significant discount per hour because i had to be there so long but diognostic require a great deal of time.
