I purchased a 24'above ground pool. I have had problems with the liner since 6 months after purchasing it. It cost 550.00 dollars for the pool to be PROFESSIONALLY installed. Needless to say I don't believe that it was.

Not only is the liner collapsing all around the pool. It also has some kind of grass or weed growing up through the liner on the bottom of the pool.I have contacted RFW to no avail. They put down herbicide all on the ground and said that would do the trick.NOT so. My pool is less than 2 years old.

I've known people who have had an above ground pool for 20 years and never had the liner to wrinkle the way that
mine has.

Thank You

Connie

In the past 20 years i have had 3 above ground pools. the first i purchased at recreational factory warehouse, which was sold with our house, the second, purchased at walmart and the third again at recreational factory warehouse.

I had grass grow thru 2 of the 3 pools. the first pool from rfw was fine. the next 2 pools we owned had grass grow thru the liner. one liner had a few grass's grow thru and started to leak. we had to patch our liner. we were mad about this. grass growing thru the liner, no way.

the pool was a cheap pool to begin with but we made a lot of preperations to the ground to stop the grass. we took the pool down and bought a new expensive pool again for $3000.00. ahter a month the pool started to get grass.

we called rfw and was explained that every one out of 100 pools will get grass. since the liner is made out of rubber or vinyl it could get a tear or hole and since i put down tar paper and roundup i thought there was no way it could happen.

well after the store explained that the only thing they could do is give us a liner at half cost. we took it, since that was better than nothing. i then called the home office and complained, then the store gave me herbiside to help stop it. anyway, we had it happen 2x and next time i will put the pool on concrete.

You've come to the right place to get help, Connie. Trust me, you're going to need it.

I bought the same-size pool from the same store some years ago, and also bought $100 worth of the herbicide the store sells. Installed it ourselves, according to their exact specifications. Sure enough, the next year, weeds through the liner. Went back with the sales contract in hand and was told "Sorry, we can't give you a new liner under the warranty since it was punctured by weeds; YOU installed the pool, not our installation team, so we have no way of knowing that you installed it properly. Sorry.....Here's a new liner for only $179........"

Thanks for nothing but, trust me, I'll remember it. I suggest you do the same.
