Resurgent capital services also known as sherman aquisition is known for making bogus reports of monies owed. I have asked them several times to provide information on the debt they do not answer and cannot provide me with information. i took this matter to small claims court only to find out that they are not licensed to work in california. They have posted a negative rating in my credit report and refuse to clear it or provide me with information on why i owe this amount. after doing research on the company i found out that sadly enough i am not the only one this company is trying to rip off.

I work for Resurgent capital and we are liscnesed by the govnt for collections and in ALL states. i personaly have a collections liscense for ALL 50 states. In order to get proof of the debt you need to make your request in writing and by federal law we are required to send that info to you. If you continue to have issues please call and request the address you may write to for debt validation. Please keep in mind we buy these debts from the original account holders and only have the info they gave us so we may not know every little detail you want to know about the account. Dear Collection Agency,
This will serve as your legal notice under federal law of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act of Congress (FDCPA), to cease ALL communication with me in reference to the above account.
