I am very upset with Ron Noble and I would not suggest anyone work with him for insurance.

I applied for health insurance after being referred to him by my parents' health insurance broker.  He is a very nice man over the phone and immediately built a great rapport.  He told me to fill out the insurance paperwork on his website without telling me which insurance would be the best and most affordable in my case.  After several phone calls with no return I just picked the insurance I thought might be best.  Once I filled it out and sent it in (on December 15th, 2012), Ron finally called me back.  I told him which insurance I picked and he said, "Sure that's a good one.  My daughter is on that insurance."  So, not much help, but at least I felt like I picked the right insurance.

A week later I heard nothing back from him or the insurance company so I called him.  Once again it took several phone calls to even reach him.  I asked him about the status of my insurance because I needed to go get labs done soon.  He said he'd look into it.  Then, nothing.  After several more calls (and bounced emails because his email address does not work), I finally got in touch with him.  This was January 7th, a little over 3 weeks after I submitted my application and still had not heard anything.

He noticed that although I had submitted my application, the company he uses to process the application had no record of it.  Luckily I saved a copy of the application and was able to give him the ID#.  A few hours later he called back saying they had "found" my application and began processing it.  I explained that I needed to get labs done soon so can he please rush this since I filled it out back in December and had literally just been waiting on having my insurance to get this health check-up.

On Friday January 11th he called me and said "Congrats.  You're approved.  You can book that appointment!"  I thought it was great that he rushed my insurance and I immediately booked my appointment for the following Tuesday.

I had several expensive labs done and explained to my doctor that I had insurance so I wasn't worried about the expense.  The day after my appointment I called my insurance provider to get my ID # to submit to the doctor.  The insurance told me that my plan would not be in effect for another week and a half!  I went to my appointment, had tons of tests done, all because Ron Noble told me I was approved and to book my appointment.  I would have happily waited one more week to save the HUNDREDS of dollars that I now have to pay.  I don't have this money and luckily my doctor agreed to set up a payment plan.  He said that my agent is at fault and I should sue him.  I'm considering doing this.

In the grand scheme of things, the whole debacle is just under $500.  To many people, this isn't a lot of money, but to me, it's WAY more than I can afford.  When I called Ron and told him what happened he said it wasn't his fault and that I should take it up with the Medical Lab and negotiate with them.  Then he said he had another client waiting and hung up the phone.

I am so upset.  Not just that he cost me money I really don't have, but that he tried to blame it on me.  I would NEVER recommend his services.  He is a weasel.
