RUSS BUILT russ lund Russ was suppose to build me stairs and just cut off the the rotted wood stair and replaced one wooden piece . my neibors said he ripped me off . He left two pieces of wood on the ground to replace my Flushing Internet, Michigan

 The steps in question were a set of prefabricated fiberglass coated steps.  Note:  the back-secondary steps on a Manufactured home in East Bay M.H.P.  Via phone, the customer asked me if I could replace the rotted bottom step.  I told her possibly, but I would have to look at the steps & the amount of rot before I could say for sure...  After examining the steps I informed her that the whole 7" high-bottom perimeter of these prefab steps were rotted & I would not be able to just repair or replace the bottom tread &/or riser for the amount I had estimated over the phone.  Since she was straped for money, I suggested cutting off the 7" rotted bottom & reframing the inside perimeter to support & tie the plywood sides together.  She agreed to this, prior to me doing any work & I agreed to do it for the same price I had estimated over the phone.  The pieces of wood "on the ground" she is refering to, are actually 2 pieces of treated lumber that I laid IN the ground (level with the surrounding grade) as filler... to compensate for the lack of ground underneath the former bottom step.  Note:  The customer i.e., Amber was happy with the job when it was completed.  Also note:  I have pictures documenting these steps & what was done.  If there are any further questions I would be happy to answer them & forward the photos.  Furthermore, the neighbor in question apparently did not hear the whole story.  Sincerely, Russ Lund dba Russ Built.
