In December 2008, my wife and I were looking to purchase a house in Charlotte, NC. We talked to a Ryan Homes salesman and liked their Amber Leigh subdivision. We picked a lot which backed to woods. The salesman told us, if after 10 years another subdivision is to be build in your backyard, each subdivision has 15 feet green buffer and easement. The site map clearly showed 15 feet easement. 

It is little over a year we are here, they have cut all the trees up to our property line. We are enduring tremendous noise and dust for weeks. My wife who has asthma, has left the house to stay away from the dust. We can't use the AC in the heat of summer, fine dust gets in. Ryan Homes salesman lied to us to make the sale. Even a simple request for building a fence to separate the two subdivisions was denied by their division president, Kevin Walsh.
