i started reading an advertisement for how to grow a serious amount of food in just 4 square feet of space. First offer was for an e-book describing how to set his up, which could be gotten for just half of what Amazon.com sells this book for - $7. So I gave my Visa number, downloaded the item, but before I could even look at it, the next offer came:

Now I could get a perfect-bound copy of this same book for about $20. I said no thanks. I then got an offer for a monthly program: for $27 a month they would send me seeds that were guaranteed to grow in this 4-ft Garden - seeds that were not GMO, not from Monsanto. Made me feel like I could get away with something, because 'the government could take away my right to grow my own food.'

I said yes to this part of the offer, only as I assumed I would be able to remove any of the items before the actual order was placed. This is standard for most legit businesses - giving you at least one opportunity to cancel before anything happens. My mistake. As soon as I hit the 'Enter" button I was being thanked for my order.

Then the grand finale: I could be the whole structure for this 4-ft Garden, already built, for like $600. It said this was the cheapest and only way to purchase this item ready-made. When I declined, the offer was to split up the money amount into a couple of payments. Again I declined. Everything was rush, rush rush: only a few of these being offered, only a few who ordered would even be able to get one, time was of the essence, etc.

As soon as I got away from the ad, I emailed their support department, telling them I did not want their monthly seed program as I was unsure if this was feasible for me to do - especially since I am disabled and on a fixed income. Although they responded with a form email saying they had received my 'request' and that someone would get back to me shortly.

12 houra later, after they had already charged me, causing an overdraft in my account (this was a Visa debit card), I got a response that they would refund me once I returned the seeds which they claimed had already been shipped.

I went to my credit union and had them issue me a new Visa debit card as I feared I would be charged again, or for something else I said I didn't want. I never received the seeds. I emailed hem again (no one answers the phone) requesting I be sent another form of repayment.

This all occured on June 16, 2014. It is now July 9th. My credit union is looking into reporting this as fraud but I guess I'll never get my money back. Wish I had read the reviews on Amazon before doing business with this company. They clearly have zero integrity, zero cooperation, seemingly zero everything.

I would urge anyone who comes across this seemingly harmless to ignore it, report it, and for Pete's sake, don't give them any information, especially payment information. Very dishonest.
