I guess with the prices of the gasoline being so high, more con artists are trying and succeeding to rip off people who want to save money. Well, we paid for a 2-night-and-3-day package to stay at Hilton Daytona for only $189 just to find out when we arrived there after an 8 hr drive that there was no room. We called saveonresorts customer service and they told us that we have to go to a Sales Tour before we can get the room that we already paid for. They advised us to give a deposit of 150 and attend he Sales Tour in the morning before we can have our room. They wanted us to sleep in our car with our infant, 2 year old, 8 year old and 9 year old and wait until the Marketing Welcome Center opens in the morning and attend their tour.

Three sides to every story

AUTHOR: Much Traveled - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, July 18, 2008

As a seasoned traveler that has accepted several time share offers,I feel that there is more to this claim than meets the eye.Did the traveler arrive on the correct day or one day early? Did he have written confirmation and the list of rules and regulations? If he did his homework and followed all the rules then the hotel was obligated to find him a place to stay for the night. These resorts are selling a product and it's themselves they are selling. The last thing they want to do is upset a future customer.Every time I have checked in to one of these special offers, I have witnessed very angry and upset people making unreasonable and outlandish request and statements , when it was quite clear they did not or chose not to follow the rules or instructions presented to them. As the old saying goes " There are three sides to every story , yours ,mine and the truth. I don't think the gentleman from Alabama presented the whole truth. I'm soon to accept an offer from SaveOn Resorts ,and if it's not as presented, " I'll Be Back". But I have a feeling, like my past visits to Time Shares, it will be most enjoyable.

Easy Solution

AUTHOR: Nick - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, April 15, 2008

SaveOnResorts.com has been offering great vacation packages and resort information since our inception in 2003. This claim caught us by surprise and upon further investigation turns out to be an issue between the guest and the front desk clerk at the resort. After all, we are a 3rd party booking company, and while the guest came to an impasse, nobody called SaveOnResorts.com 800-581-2807. Apparently, all that was accomplished was- the Guest left angry and the front desk clerk was left confused. We never had the opportunity to help resolve the guests' issue. SaveOnResorts.com discloses all information within our website about the package offerings (credit card must be present on arrival, deposits costs, room taxes, total charges, number of room occupants, etc) All guest are made aware that the $150 standard deposit (only one time per room not per person) it's a customary, typical, and FULLY REFUNDABLE, security deposit for incidentals charged by any resort aside from the room costs. Pretty standard situation in for any hotel stay.

We have no records indicating such a phone call was ever made, and we would never ask a guest to sleep in their car. We regret the guest and family suffered this experience and; remain available to make any reasonable restitution.

Since finding this report, we have attempted to contact the guest and offer the same restitution. We hope the guest will respond with a positive reply and help clear our good name. We'll always have a more appropriate solution then staying in a car- even with no credit card. We can only hope that future guests will be responsive enough to contact us and let us offer assistance before posting claims. We are here to help any way we can, now, and into the future.

Everything on SaveOnResorts.com is stated on the website. If you're purchasing a package with a presentation, IT SAYS SO UNDER "THIS PACKAGE INCLUDES" along with a very detailed list of the "Details of Participation." I've worked in this industry for years and if "they" wanted you to sleep in your car they would have taken your $89 and sold the website. Any time a customer says "they wanted me to" it's really "I refused to listen to anything anyone told me because I believe yelling will get me anything I want." If you would have taken the advise people were trying to give you AND READ THE PACKAGE DETAILS THAT WERE PROVIDED TO YOU 1. WHEN YOU BOOKED THE PACKAGE AND 2. IN YOUR EMAIL CONFIRMATION you would have seen what was necessary. Do not blame your throwing a hissy fit on a company that made everything nice and clear and provided you with the information necessary from the beginning.
