*This is only a diatribe regarding customer service. The next one will focus on the product itself.* I purchased a 300cc scooter from scooterdepot.com. What a sham! When I ordered the bike, the salesman was oh so friendly and accommodating. He told me that the "windshield upgrade" was the windshield in the pic on their site. He told me that the locking trunk came with the bike. I did not get either of these. When I called back I was told that the salesman was new, but that they would ship the trunk at their cost $50, but the windshield upgrade was what I got, and that the pic on the site was old (and, she informed me, the site does clearly state that not all items pictured will necessarily come with the actual product).

So I paid the $50. 3 weeks later I get this crappy plastic thing, that although it has a lock, its virtually worthless. I am partially disabled and I could rip that thing off the back rack. When I was installing the trunk I noticed that the graphics on the side of the bike named it as a different model altogether. Similar, yes, but not the same as the title reads. So I called back and asked to speak with someone who was an expert on the D-300D. I am pretty sure the guy just pulled the phone away from his mouth for a sec and then came back with a slightly deeper voice. Anyway, no proof of that, so let me just stick to the facts, eh?

I told this so-called expert that I was extremely interested in that particular model and had a couple of questions. Did the locking trunk come with the scooter? Was the windshield in the photo EXACTLY the same as I was ordering? "Let me check," he said. After a few more sec, he came back and said "Absolutely." I asked if he was sure, he said he was. So then I told him we had a problem. I explained what I have already described above, and told him that they had sent me the wrong model scooter. He claimed that my complaint was "not his department" and he very rudely put me on hold.

I stayed on hold for 48 minutes. During that time, the same guy would periodically pick up the phone and then realizing I had not yet hung up, would put me back on hold. Finally, the woman from customer service, the vin# lady, the parts lady (you see where I am going with this, right? Same woman, did not even try to disguise her voice, just introduced herself as some else) picks up the phone and was so extremely rude to me that it left me momentarily floored and at a loss for words. I have never been treated so badly.

She kept lecturing me on the whole "not all items pictured blah blah" and even though I tried to explain that her salesman told me that the pics were true, that he had checked with "someone", and that he was supposedly the expert (as opposed to just the customer service lady - meaning why would she know more than the expert?) she told me I was "too stupid" to read what was clearly written on the website. So. This just happened less than 2 months ago and I am working with my CC company now to get my $ back, and if they want the d**n bike back, they can come and get it. If I end up having to sue, I would urge anyone who is in a similar situation with this company to jump in the boat with me. The more the merrier! Peace & Be Good

Not sure what's best...

Can't decide what the funniest part of that site is.

The obviously mind blowingly fake prices?

The dozens of differently named scooter and motorcycle businesses that have websites for a non existant address?

The "authentic and secure" logo in the bottom that's nothing but an antivirus program?

Perhaps the bar at the top that tries to trace your ip address and offer specials for your area only?

Or maybe even the we accept money orders and western union for payments.

You couldn't couldnt get a more obviously fake store site without a dancing monkey holding a sign on your screen that says LOSE YOUR MONEY HERE...
