its a 2004 dodge dakota 3.7 liter V6 club cab automatic with 76,000 miles on it AT THE TIME now it has 116,500 miles, it is financed through SNAAC

i am paying 392.20 a month with a 9.9% interest rate, and to pay it off is 23,000 dollars!! Yes i know i screwed up and i want to get out from under it without taking a bath.

the reason why i bought the vehicle is because i needed a truck. I didnt know what i was getting myself into, I just got out of basic training and was sent to sheppard afb in witchata falls for technical training, the truck was in great shape, no leaks whatsoever, except for the odometer reading 76,000 miles, everything is manual as far as windows and locks, its a very basic truck.

according to kelly blue book, it is only worth about 6,500 which means i am paying almost 4 times the amount of the vehicle, it is beginning to have transmission problems, according to dodge the 2004 model has aluminum gears which tend to shear due to the shear strength of the metal.

the truck is eating me alive as far as bills go. I cannot refinance it through anyone because i am to far upside down with it. as of right now i owe 17,000 dollar in order to pay it off.

if anyone could give me some pointers on how to resolve this please feel free to email me.

as for military personel just starting out, DO NOT buy from automotive business's right off base go somewhere you are comfortable and you know the history about the place of choice. i cannot express this enough. do yourself a favor and stay away from those kind of places, they will eat you alive!

And do not deal with snaac, go through your bank.
