I had a car financed Through SNAA in 1998 when i was a young private at Fort Drum New York. i had the for 6 mo before the engine caught fire due to some problem with the wireing harness. the engine was fine but all the wireing was burnt. i couldnt afford to fix it and SNAC would do nothing to help me out, and I couldnt afford to car payments. I came down on orders for Korea and i had to leave my wife and 2 small children behind they needed a car so i canceled my allotment and got another car so she could take care of herself and the kids while i was gone.

1 1/2 years ago SNAA contacted me to make a settlement. "They were willing to make me a deal because the loan had already been written off". I knew that i shouldnt have canceled the allotment and was more than willing to pay what I owed, and was even happier to find out that i was going to have to pay the interest that had continued to accrue somehow even after they wrote it off??? so i payed half of it right away, and set up a monthly allotment for the rest. finnaly i paid it off and was glad, but then hear i get another threatening e-mail from a new loan persome from the same company saying that i needed to pay or else... i told him to check with David Holdren the first collection and check the account. he replyed with "Mr Holdren no-longer works here and said that i couldwork a deal with him or he would get a court settlement and i would have to continue paying for another 30 months.

I still have the last e-mail from Mr. Holdren stateing the my account was paid in full and to stop the allotments.

SNAAC Rebuttal

AUTHOR: Snaac - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, September 18, 2008

Security National is one of the most respected auto finance companies in the industry. We regret any situation in which one of our customers is unsatisfied with their car buying and financing experience. Many of the challenging experiences our customers may complain about relate to the selling auto dealership, which we can not resolve. Please note that many inaccuracies may exist in the comments made on this site. This site does not confirm the accuracy of any of the information posted. Likewise, anyone, including Security National competitors may post fictitious complaints. We encourage our customers to visit http://www.snaac.com/ripoffreport.aspx to utilize our dispute resolution process or to better understand our role in their credit transactions.

Contracts and written agreements go both ways.

David Holdren made similar promises to me, too. He agreed to delete the negative info off my credit reports if I accepted his settlement offer. It's been about a year; I paid as sgreed, the charge-off is STILL on my reports.

I tried to go through the bureaus themselves, but they just lazily agreed with SNAAC without verifying our agreement. I'm going to fight it again, this time with WRITTEN PROOF of the agreement David Holdren made with me. And if they don't fix it, then I'm hauling them all to court.

SNAAC expects people to pay up regardless, but they refuse to hold up to their end of the deal when it's disadvantageous to them.

Contracts and written agreements go both ways. So do lawsuits.
