For the past two years since I have been employed with Securitias, I have nothing but problems with SRG Aenta Insurance company.
When I took out the dental plan I called SRG to find out how long I had to wait after the signup and was told it was effective in December and I would have to wait until June of 2007. So I waited until July just to be sure.
I went to the dentist last year, and they delayed paying the claim. Then they denied it saying they had no record of me.
I called SRG and they told me to have the dentist resubmit it. They didn't understand why that explaination was given.
So My dentist did and it was denied stating it was pasted my termination date. However I had not been termination. So they said resubmit it.

I also called them for a oral surgery. I was given several names and told that I would get a major discount for using one of their referral. Which to this date never happened. I used their oral surgeon and got a bill twice the price my dentist was going to charge. The oral surgeon's office also told me the same thing. But they never got the refferal fee to pass on either.

This claim had to be resubmitted a number of times. Before approved.
When all was said and done they never did pay any of the orginial bill for cleanings and xrays. Then SRG said I was over the limit.

When asked why they keep saying I am terminated they said Securitas had not paid my premimum on time so they deny the claim.

Securitas HR person in Hilliard claimed they paid SRG each time I should have no problem. Corporate office Director claimed they paid the premimums and I shouldn't have any problems. All you get is a run around and passing the buck!

In December 2008 I had a major medical problem, And went through the same thing with the hospital. First they had no record of me, then they kept sending through denials that I had been terminated. SRG claims that it's Securitas fault and Securitas claims that it is SRG's fault.

SRG made the statement to me that the insurance that we have is the cheapest that you could possibly have. It pays for next to nothing but it gets you in the door medically and that is about all. What is the deal here. Why are they ripping us off. They deduct it from out pay. Why not pay the darn bills. Talk about fraud. When are these companies going to be held responsible for their actions?

Securitas & Atnea is a joke

AUTHOR: smithy - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, February 10, 2015

I had lung surgery and Securitas's Insurance company ATNEA likes to not properly pay a hospital bill and Securitas likes to reprimand you when you complain about you medical bill and the insurance.  Both companys are a joke, along with one of their shift supervisors who has been promoted to a security supervisor who likes to smoke and wear dew rags on duty.

Do not work for this company it is a joke.

Securitas Health Plan is why I do not support Dana Farber, the Jimmy Fund & Boston Red Sox.

The Securitas Dana Farber Security Account has a very sucky health plan which is one of the reasons I do not support Dana Farber, Jimmy Fund & the Boston Red Sox.  It is a joke just like Securitas is a joke on how they treat their employees.

Securitas Insurance & Training Scam New England

AUTHOR: Oscar - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, April 09, 2009

Securitas bought their way into the US when they bought Pinkerton in 1998. They then bought a slew of large and small companies including Burns International which was a bottom-feeder; bad accounts, pad pay, you name it. Securitas is simply Burns Security in a different wrapper. Their US headquarters is, you guessed it, the old Burns headquarters in New Jersey.

In New England, they bought a very reputable firm that had a solid history of quality services and long-term clients. Unfortunately, Securitas needed to recoup the cost of buying these companies and started cutting costs and screwing their employees.

For example, some security contracts include a partial cost towards an employee's health/life/dental insurance in the hourly bill rate. Again, this is something that the CUSTOMER pays for and is built into EACH hour that Securitas bills that particular customer. Not all contracts are this way; some customers are billed separately for "benefits" although the following still applies.

The Scam: For contracts that have "built in" benefits within the customers hourly bill rate, a percentage of the bill rate is for benefits for the officers.

Securitas typically inflates that number to a customer by stating that a high percentage of their officers are participating with the benefits program. A customer who accepts this at face value is OFTEN deceived because the cost of benefits to the employees is so high only a very SMALL percentage of officers accept the insurance. So, in short, the customer MAY pay an hourly bill rate (every hour that is billed to the customer for the period of the contract) based on an alleged 50 % benefit participation when only 8-12 % of the officers are actually on any benefit plan. This allows Securitas a hidden margin (e.g. profit).

For customers that are billed for benefits separately, Securitas' billing model also inflates the number of officers on insurance. Unless the customer actually does a headcount, and speaks to each officer, they would never know exactly what they are paying for. This is impossible for a client to do at large accounts like HP which is spread across the country. I do not know if a major customer cares that the officers may not have insurance but I am sure they would not be happy if it was true and it became public knowledge. Bad publicity.

The insurance costs paid by officers is high and is tiered. The higher you rise in the ranks, the less you pay. In Massachusetts, it is cheaper for officers to obtain health insurance through the MASS HEALTH program (in MA all employees must have health insurance). In other states, employees are simply screwed because the cost of health benefits for a Full Time officer, on the family plan, is 25 % of their pay if not more. Then you deduct taxes, etc and the net pay is similar to minimum wage.

Often, if not in all cases, supervisors and definitely Branch staff and above, pay LESS for insurance than the lower paid officers because Securitas picks up a greater portion of their benefit costs. Real nice company unless you are in the 95 % of the non-management classification.

A further benefit is that Securitas can bill a client less than their competition because so few employees take insurance. In other words, Securitas does not incur the costs that other fair-minded security firms do so they can bid low and win contracts that are price-driven. Plus screw their employees and their customers....real nice.....
