Company provides a service by direct mailing prospects for workshop (seminar) participation.  The mail/marketing data purchased and then used is faulted with incorrect demographics.  The scam takes place when the direct mail pieces are sent out after the project is fully funded by the client or the client's funding source (Pitney Bowes Purchase Power).  No recourse is available.  Don't walk away from this program...run!

AUTHOR: Seminar Crowds! Inc. - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 02, 2010

Seminar Crowds! Inc. has been in business since 2003 and since then we have become one of the leaders in the seminar direct-mail business.  We have had over 2,500 clients and have mailed in excess of 12,000 mail jobs.  We have mailed well in excess of one hundred million mail pieces.  We take exception to Toms description that we are a scam.

Seminar Crowds! Inc. prides itself in providing the best and most accurate mailing lists in the industry.  No mailing list is perfect, but ours produces results!

Tom let us know he was unhappy with the demographics in his last order.  After doing some research we found that Tom had specifically instructed his Account Manager not to use the confirmed homeowner list we offer for the mailing in question, which in our experience provides more accuracy on housing status.  Instead Tom opted to use a length of residence filter, a cheaper but less proven demographic.  His Account Manager recommended strongly that if he absolutely had to have homeowners present at his seminar, he should use the confirmed homeowner select, but Tom rejected this recommendation.

We made many attempts to explain to Tom how consumer lists and direct mail works.  Due to the nature of how data is compiled and direct marketing in general, we do not and cannot guarantee 100% data accuracy or responses to the mail piece in general.  Tom acknowledged this in writing.

Despite this acknowledgment and despite the fact that the mailing produced 36 reservations out of 6,006 pieces mailed, Tom wanted a full refund.  Obviously this was not a reasonable request and he did not receive one.  Presumably, this led to his posting.

Before our customers pay for their order, we make every attempt to let them know that our mailing lists are not 100% perfect, that we cannot guarantee that people will respond to the mailing that we send out on their behalf and that we cannot guarantee that the people who do respond are 100% qualified.  What we do guarantee is that we will send out the invitation that they have approved with their approved demographic selections as requested.

I think it is important to note that Tom had used our services before and was a returning customer.  Clearly he must have been happy with his first campaign with Seminar Crowds! Inc.

Seminar Crowds! Inc. has helped thousands of seminar agents and we are proud to have many happy, returning customers, as witnessed by our testimonials which can be found at:
