Sids Auto Body Sid's auto body is a complete rip off!!! st.catharines , Ontario Canada

I took my vehicle to Sid's Auto body repair shop, and i was quoted $5500 to do all the repairs.  I drive a 2010 Honda Accord.  I smashed up the front end a bit, and it needed a few new parts.  I told the mechanic there, who was also the owner, that i wanted original parts from honda.  He told me that he will order the parts directly from honda.  I asked him if he gave a discount if i paid cash, and that's how we got to the total of $5500 for everything done.  I gave him $2500 as a deposit, and told him once the car was finished i would give him the rest.  

A week later, the owner calls me up and says that there was damage to the frame, and that it's gonna cost another $4000 just to straighten the frame.   After negotiating with him about this amount, he settled for $3200.  Had i known that this was a problem originally, i would have went through my insurance, rather then going through this company.  I told him originally that i would rather them do nothing, and i'll go through my insurance and bring the car to the actual honda dealership.  He said i can't do that cuz i already paid $2500, and that the parts were already ordered.  If i cancelled, he would keep the $2500 that i already paid, and require me to pay for the parts on top of that.  

At that point, i lost my mind on the guy.  He said if i didn't pay this, i wouldn't get my car back.  At the end of the day, my wife told me to just get it done, and take this as a lesson learned.  I ended up paying to get the car completed, and it was a total mess.  The hood didn't line up properly, the paint was poorly done, with over spray on parts of the car.  But the worst part was, was that the parts weren't even real honda parts. These Scumbags went to automotive warehouse and purchased aftermarket parts, and tried to tell me that they were from the honda dealership.   I will NEVER EVER go back to Sids Auto Body.  Such a RIP OFF!!!!!
