While I think that most of the agents of this dealership are nice, the customer service after a sale is horrid!  First, I did purchase the extended warranty (unfortunately, the only way to actually cover the ENTIRE car is by shelling out $100+ for the warranty and when payments are already $325+, for some, paying an extra $100 a month TO A SEPARATE COMPANY is a little ridiculous). I did have the vehicle inspected. The vehicle came back with thousands of dollars in damage (all of which were safety issues). Needing a car, I decided to purchase the vehicle anyway so long as they promised to pay for the repairs. They promised AND they put it in writing on the contract. As an added bonus, they stated that they would send it to a specific shop for repairs because their auto shop at the dealership (quoting sales agent) "doesn't have the expertise or equipment to do extensive repairs."

Needless to say, these promises were and remain unfulfilled!

Out of all the items to be fixed on the car (about 7 agreed upon items), the dealership only fixed two while still claiming that everything was done. I had the car reinspected by THEIR auto shop they use to outsource repairs to and that auto shop said THEY never received the car to do any work! Additionally they listed off the parts that weren't complete. I get that the dealership gets to choose the shop they want to make repairs, but don't tell a person you are going to send it to a specific shop when you have NO intention of actually sending it there.  More over, don't tell a person that work has been completed when you actually have no clue if anything has been done. It has been over a month since the agreement was made between the dealership and me and I have not received a single shred of communication as to when the vehicle will be scheduled for a completion of the work needed.  I have tried working out other deals with this dealership but all I get from them is "we'll have to get back to you" or "let me call you back".  Yeah....right....

Currently taking action against this dealership...we'll see how they choose to resolve this issue. Who knows, maybe they'll actually do what they said they would do in the first place to reestablish trust...even if it is just a little...

In response to the first part, maybe next time instead of cherry-picking the part of what I wrote to make your argument, you should put it in context. Here's the rest of what I wrote: "so long as they promised to pay for the repairs. They promised AND they put it in writing on the contract." In retrospect, it was a decent little car, save it's issues. Hence why I had them put that they'd fix those issues into the contract, and that if those items did not get fixed the contract would be voided. I understand that no used car is perfect, but they promised they would fix the issues, put it in writing, and I agreed to the contract at that point. Simple as that.

In response to your argument on the warranty, sure, $100 warranty bumper to bumper sounds great and all, but it was outside my budget range. The cost I would have had to pay would have been about $150-175 (remember the + sign?). Howver, my argument wasn't about whether or not it was a good deal. My issues were two-fold. One, that it was being paid to a separate company which seemed stupid. Two, that an extra $100+ a month may be ridiculous when the payments are already really steep. Please try to respond to the actual argument being made before you submit your rebuttal.

"Lastly, are you a mechanic?" No, I am not a mechanic. If you had actually read what I wrote you would have noticed that I took the car into a mechanic to have it inspected (and, you know, mechanics kinda tell you things about what needs to be done to your car, in case you weren't aware). I then had a secondary conversation with that same mechanic (which SCS said they sent it to to have it fixed) in which the mechanic stated he never saw the car after the initial time I brought it in. So, I took it back, and he told me what issues they did and did not fix (hence how I "[knew] a lot about what [had] and [hadn't] been done to the car", as you put it. See how conversation works?)

And thank you for the luck, as facetious as it may be. A letter of demand really helped to resolve the issue before it blew up to be any bigger. And thank you for the reminder that this website does not remove posts, but it was unnecessary. I am well aware. If I felt like this would have created a problem for me, I wouldn't have done it. But, I felt like sharing my story along with everyone else that has had it bad with this store, and taking action against SCS for "specific performance" is how consumers get companies like their's to fulfill the promises they've made when the companies are dragging their feet. So no, nothing that I posted on here would have made legal action for "specific performance" null and void.

Funny you should tell me to take responsibility for my actions when you claim that the WHOLE reason why my action would be null and void is because I TOOK responsibility. So, is your argument that I need to take more responsibility than has already been taken?

Thanks Jane Consumer (Probably SCS sales person)! Have a wonderful day.

"I decided to purchase the vehicle anyway" hmm. It sounds like you knew there were issues with this car before you bought it. So, maybe you should choose a car with no issues before you sign a contract with your prior knowledge of problem listed right on it. "paying an extra $100 a month TO A SEPARATE COMPANY" $100 a month for a warranty that completely covers a used car? Sounds like a good deal to me and if it's with a separate company you can definitely take it to any mechanic of your choice as long as it's listed on the separate companies list. Lastly, are you a mechanic? You seem to know a lot about what has and hasn't been done to the car, but if you're a mechanic you wouldn't have bought a car that already had issues I suppose. Good luck with your "action." You pretty much made any action against this company null and void by accepting responsibility and admitting to knowing about car troubles on this website. Which, if you look above, does not remove posts. I would suggest not knowingly creating problems for yourself then blaming them on everyone else. Take some responsibility.
