Social Media Science was recommended to us from a business coach we thought that we could trust. Really they were both taking advantage of us and essentially gobbling money from us without offering any value in return.

We spent $56,000 with this company and they never even completed our blog! We take the responsibility of being naive enough to give them this much money and trust they would help achieve the great promises they made. However, for this company to be okay with this and not have any issues is the concern.

They got our trust based on mutual aquitances and offering us great results.
We were even told we're getting special treatment because of our connection...absolute hogwash.

This company spent time with us in meetings that had absolutely nothing to do with SEO, they were babbling on about business mentality etc. We've gone to seminars, we read books (e-myth etc), we didn't pay for that we paid for SEO help!

This company was paid tens of thousands of dollars and we came to find out they outsource a web developer from the Phillipines...yes you're reading this correctly. They get on a freelance website, hire a developer to do work on a $56,000 job.

They likely paid the fellow around $1,000 - $2,000 while they kept all our money.

To top it off this freelancer wasn't even good or reliable. Our blog was never completed, the design never finished, nothing was ever done except small research on keywords!

For $56,000 this company gave us an uncompleted blog, some word documents, waste of time web meetings, and keyword research...

Stay far away from SYYND and Social Media Science, they are ruthless businessmen who have no morals or remorse for taking young, start-ups money.

We haven't gone out of our way to publicize this robbery until now because over the past year and a half we have thoroughly educated ourselves on SEO and the more we learn the more we realize how much of a robbery this really was.

Tom Tried Calling

AUTHOR: Joey - ()

POSTED: Friday, July 11, 2014

Well some time after we filed this report Tom Rozof tried to call us. He wanted to speak with my partner and I could tell it was him because his voice is easily distinguished.

Unfortunately after many call-back attempts and no reply it seems he doesn't plan to call us back.

I was hoping we could resolve something however it's not looking to bright. If you read this Tom you can speak to either of us to make things right. If it doesn't bother you at all, then so be it.

Not a False Claim

AUTHOR: Joey - ()

POSTED: Saturday, December 21, 2013

I wish it was a false claim. If you want to contact us and make things right we are here. However you made it clear that you will be refunding any money nor do ANYTHING to resolve the situation.

If I am allowed to I will upload bank statements showing this happened and accounting information showing we paid.

These invoices appeared to be used with a Word document template, at least when dealing with Tom Rozof himself. Here's a snippet of something we were charged for and NEVER received, we couldn't even get past the blog.

"2. Change the title tags and products descriptions for the first 1000 products in your ecommerce site. As I shared in our first review of this task, our company charges $20 per tag and title. To the typical programmer these tasks may appear fairly straightforward and simple to execute. However, those of us who have tested and re-tested these factors in multiple projects, in order to determine what causes the highest level of conversion, understand that there is much more to this than first meets the eye.

The strategy we use at SMS combines a well-defined process coupled with the use of specific software tools to produce a proven and consistent outcome. After speaking with our company owners I am now able to offer these services to you for $5 for the combination of title tag and product description. I suggest that you use our team for the first 1000 products and gradually add the others as your website produces income and allows you to continue investing in this strategy.

Total Cost: $5000--For 1000 Title Tags & Product Descriptions"

False Claim

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Saturday, December 21, 2013

This is a total fabrication.

It is unfortunate when a former employee does this to harm a company that treated them well.  This claim makes no sense as we do not do web design for customers, but instead recommend others who can do this.  So this claim is completely made up and is only being used by a previous employee to harm our reputation.

Our customers have already voluntarily posted replies in this website, giving us VERY high marks for the level of service they receive from us.  Many have been customers for over 4 years.  They too were disgusted by this smearing, which is all it is.  This same person has done this several times and it actually violates their exit agreement.
