I had high hopes when I signed up with Stratus Building Solutions.  My Franchisor also had high hopes.  We were led to believe that we could make alot of money and build a fine business.  Wow were We naive!

The real story is that you compete with other companies and must price your business accordingly.  OK. I could deal with that. However, if you are priced correctly ( and Stratus has an interest in bidding low to get the work), and you are lucky to get the work Stratus takes a whopping 21% commission.  You also pay for each account with your initial investment (the more you invest, the more business they promise you).  So in reality you are paying thousands of dollars to make(in my case), $ 13.44 per hour. 

Forget about hiring people, you can't afford it.  Once you pay somebody to work and pay the Stratus 21% commission, employer taxes, etc. there is nothing much left.  They told me that I don't have to pay my employees travel time ( which is required by federal law).

When I complained to the person whom sold Me the franchise He said "Forget about your investment - it's gone. And so is mine ( He paid a large sum to acquire the right to sell the franchises)!

Skip this franchise opportunity.  There is currently a RICO case in court against Stratus Building Soluitons.  If you read the complaint it lists everything I have personally experienced.  I hope the court throws the book at them, better yet The Stratus Building Solutions Farnchise Agreement. 

This company is no solution!
