SunGenie, the latest product from celebrity pitchman and TV host Anthony Sullivan is an exact copy and ripoff of the Luci solar lantern (.mpowerd.com).
Celebrity pitchman and TV personality Anthony Sullivan blatantly rippedoff his latest product the SunGenie solar lantern. The SunGenie is a copy and ripoff of the Luci solar lantern made by MPOWERD. It is amazing and disgusting to see Anthony Sullivan ripoff a product at this scale.
The SunGenie is a shameless copy of a product that has been sold and marketed since 2012 by MPOWERD a small Benefit Corporation. Anthony Sullivan copied the design and technology and slapped a new name on it - SunGenie and is selling it as his own.
Anthony Sullivan is using his television direct marketing empire and social media leverage to exploit and damage the entrepreneurs at Benefit Corporation start-up MPOWERD. According to their web site MPOWERD was founded to "empower humanity with affordable solar light to promote economic growth, positive social impact and sustainability," with a low cost, durable, waterproof, solar lantern for the developing and developed world to help fight energy poverty. Anthony Sullivan has manufactured the SunGenie ripoff out of greed.
He even stole the language and imagery from the marketing materials of the MPOWERD Luci solar lantern.
The Luci solar lantern has been sold and marketed by MPOWERD since 2012. Anthony Sullivan's SunGenie came onto the Internet in November of 2013.
Anthony Sullivan on his Discovery Channel television show PitchMen claims to support and celebrate the "little guys" - independent inventors and entrepreneurs. When the cameras aren't rolling it seems that Anthony Sullivan just steals his ideas and designs.
