About three months ago I found out Target had some super hero action figures for sale.  Specifically Wonder Woman and Batgirl.  I looked on Target.com to see what these action figures looked like and to get the details.  The details on these stated that they are 12 tall action figures.  So I went to several Target stores in my area to get these items.  There were none.  There werent even any spaces on the shelves or on the hanigng wall for these items.

I asked the manager of one of the Targets I went into if they had ever seen this item come into their store, and he said no.

I asked if they could specilal order me some of these items, and was told "we dont do that", but he gave me a phone number to call customer service.

When I got home, I got on to Target.com again and noticed that there is an option to find a store that has these in stock.  So i put in my information and several stores came up on the list.  There were some that stated they never had this item, while others said "out of stock", or " in stock", and even "limited stock".   So I called these stores who were said to have these items in stock, as I wanted some on hold or to purchase them over the phone.

Each and every single store the the Target.com site claimed had these in stock did not have these in stock.  In fact, the person I spoke with at each store went to physically look to see if there was a space on the shelf or rack for these items.....and I was told each time that there was NO space for these items on their shelves and nobody they spoke to ever remembered getting any of these items in.

So I called customer service.  I explained to the customer service guy what was going on, and WHY was this item NOT available in stores, when Target.com said they were!  He told me they were out of stock and would have more in two weeks.

I checked Target.com at least twice a week for the next month, and nobody ever got these items in.  I even called some of the stores again.  Nobody has ever received these items.

And on top of all of this, a friend noticed that the written description says these action figures are 6 inches tall, not 12!  So I got back on Target.com and read the full description.  The written description does state that the action figure is SIX inches tall, not twelve.  But the numerical description of these items states that they are TWELVE inches tall, not six!!

I emailed Target.com about the fraudulant advertisement of items they have never had, apparently will never have, and have TWO different descriptions on them.  That was about two weeks ago, I have not received any reply, except for the automated message stating they got my email.

I dont understand why a company like Target would put out a false product, advertise it, tell a customer its in the stores when the stores have never received them, and then lie again to that customer telling them there will be more in two weeks, when they have never gotten any in at all.

Apparently business is SO good at Target, they can afford to lose this customer.
