I bought two hearing aids in north Alabama in Oct. 2011. They had this promo going so I went though I couldn't really afford it. The Promo hearing aids were like $750 each. The guy does all of the hearing tests in the sound proof booth. A thorough test I will admit but these $750 hearing aids weren't right for me.  Imagine that! So he takes a mold of both ears and and calls me back in about two or three weeks when they finally came in.

From the start they weren't right and I told him and he said that they would take some getting use to. I went back every week for a month and finally I said these are no good to me, it sounds like I am talking in a barrel. He then suggested the the behind the ear ones but of course they were the same price. Imagine that!

A hearing aid that you can't see to one that sticks out like a sore thumb! Yeah, same price? I can hear a lot better with these but I still have to keep going back to get the kinks out, like paper crinkling was real loud and then wind noise was real loud and finally they were wearable and I think someone who knew what they were doing could have made them perfect.

After I wore them about a month they began to really bother me, my ears would really itch and I would have to take them out and stick my fingers in my ears and this got where it wasn't worth it so I took them back, after all he said, if you don't like
them you get your money back. I took them back and said, "Man, I can't wear these things, they are driving me crazy." He said, "Oh, no, your 30 day trial period is up." I said, "I can't wear them." He said, "you will just have to get use to them." I wasn't happy but I thought maybe he was right so I tried and I couldn't do it so I just quit wearing them.

Then one day I had to go to a family gathering so I wore them so I wouldn't be constantly saying "Huh?" The right one was fine but the left one whistled so I took it back to him and left it two or three weeks, I didn't care, I never wore them. I went back and he said it was fixed, I put it in and the wind in the car sounded funny but I thought it was the wind blowing and I just wasn't use to hearing it. I came in the house and I could hear this sound I never heard before, I turned the TV off and just sat
there and I turned my head to the left and it whistled so I knew it was the hearing aid. I took it right back the same day and handed it to his receptionist and told her it was still making the noise.

She called me a week or two later and and I went to pick it up and she said, "He said there wasn'tanything wrong with it." I said, "He's crazy," and I walked out. It's been several months and before I just completely lose my mind and do something crazy I thought I should try to find someone to complain to but can't find a Grievance Board to complain to.

I saw your add and thought maybe you could tell me who to contact in Alabama. And another thing, I payed over $5900.00 for them and I payed a $250 deposit then I payed $1500 down and my payments were supposed to be $104.00 a month (36 month plan) but I pay $129.00 and have paid as much as $140 three or four times a month. I distinctly remember telling me they would cost $2175.00 .

I just trusted him. And G.E.Capitol, what a joke. I got downtown New Delhi, I have a hearing problem, that's why I have the hearing aids but these guys I can not understand so I think I have everything worked out and then get the $140.00 bill, I call
and complain and they say it is fixed, next month $140.00 again, so I call again and ask for someone who speaks English and the guy hangs up! I call and tell the audiologist and he says no, they are all English. WRONG! New Delhi!

They are still charging me $25.00 too much a month. I am looking to who to complain to in Alabama. Everytime I try to look up a Grievance Board in Alabama all I get is people that sell hearing aids. Any help will be appreciated. I'm Busted, Disgusted, and getting to where I can't be Trusted!
Thanks,
