You DO NOT want to work with this rip-off artist. Peter Welch contacted me many times, trying to get me to spend money on his "verified mtg leads". It was against my better judgment, but he ran a smooth conversation and had me sold on the product. The product was bogus. I purchased 50 exclusive leads that turned out to be unsuspecting people who had no idea their information was being sold as a mortgage lead. I demanded a refund in full and had to end up taking him & his company to small claims court. Needless to say, I won the judgment because he didn't bother to show up. Go to http://www.lakecountyclerk.org/services.asp?subject=Online_Court_Records&Online_Court_Records to checkout the case#2007 SC 002946.
This guy masqueraded to me, saying that his "board of directors" were meeting to see if they could refund my money. This went on for several months. Finally he just stopped answering calls or returning my msgs. His last email said to me "do what you gotta do". So we did win in small claims.
This guy turns out to be some one-man operation working out of his little house in "podunk" Florida. No offense to the people of Clermont, it looked nice. But this is no major operation...it wouldn't even be a garage company.

The long and short of this...don't be fooled or taken by this guy, his bogus lead program, or his poor excuse for a "real company." I did...you could be next.

The Center For Sound Consumer Advice & Peter Welch-Great Experience, High Quality Mod Leads.

AUTHOR: Forensic_audit_steve - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, April 14, 2009

I have been using mod leads from this comnpany. This leads are quality and we have converted many. If there was ANY problem with a lead Peter Welch quickly replaces it. Leads are generated from radio ads and are FRESH.

I can't speak to the other negative reports but our experiences have been awesome. Our sales people love these leads.

I highly reccommend this company as a lead source. If you cannot make a firm offer to the client then the lead is replaced! You can't get any better than that. Bottom line: USE THIS LEAD SERVICE...

While I can appreciate your wish to defend, you have miscontrued the point here. You are on a completely different side of the coin here, in that Peter Welch and The Center for Sound Consumer Advice is buying from you. You are the merchant, by providing commercials, etc. for him and his little faux operation. Of course his checks will clear and be on-time to you...you're the service provider in that relationship. I'm not commenting on him or his little operations ability to pay their bills on-time. I could care less. What this is about is his misrepresentation of his company...his total lies about his company's bogus mortgage leads....and his (at-first) agreement to refund my company's $2500 spent in bogus leads, only to tell me that a "board of directors" was meeting to approve the refund, then to find out he just stopped taking my calls because he has caller ID at his house. The point is that what he is/was selling is complete crap. So you can say that he pays his bills on time, that's fine, we can get the phone company and power company and even his credit card providers on here...and they can all say he pays his bills on time. Who cares? This is about what he sells is fraudulent. His product is fraudulent. So until you know anything about that, please keep your comments relevant to the issue at hand.

Center for Sound Consumer Advice is a valid company

I respect, sir, that you have been caught in an ugly situation. Furthermore, I respect your freedom to submit the post you did regarding Center for Sound Consumer Advice. I, however, have had a much different experience with Peter Welch and his company - and as we know, there are two sides to every story.

I have worked with Peter for three years now, running commercials for his consumer guides, reverse mortgage guides, etc., and have found him to always be pleasant and professional. We have been paid for every lead generated; his checks were on-time and cleared the bank with no problem. Additionally, I connected him with another colleague who has had the same experience, which means I know of at least two companies that have had positive results from working with this gentleman.

In my line of work, I am fortunate to meet many "entepreneurs" who work from their home offices, and Peter was very up-front with me that he ran his business from home. There are also additional employees who work for his company, as I have spoken with at least two other people at the same phone number on several occasions. Working from a home office does not automatically qualify a business as being "shady."

This message is solely to inform and educate people that there are two sides; and there are, in fact, companies that have had a pleasant working relationship with Peter and CSCA. Although I respect your position and your situation, I cannot agree with your assessment of Mr. Welch or his company.

I am the Plaintiff and the one who filed the rip-off report... (((links)))

Follow this link to the Lake County, FL online court records.

lakecountyclerk.org/online_court_records.asp

In the Company Search box, type in Center for Sound Consumer Advice.

The court record will be displayed immediately. Case was filed 6/26/07 and judgment entered for my company on 8/29/07. Too bad that FL laws are a complete joke when it comes to collection. I'll probably never see the money, but we'll see.

Contact me at if you want copies of emails sent from by Peter Welch. You can also go on

subiz.org,

look up the company, check the articles of incorporation filing address...it's the same address as his registered agent, which is also the same address of his home. Sound funny for a med-lg company that he pretends to tell you there is? He went so far as to say that there's a board of directors that he needs permission from on refunds. Where do they have board meetings...his living room?

You do not want to do business with this guy, he's a joke. His program is crap and I'd challenge/love to hear from anyone that's had a positive ROI with this guy and I'd want to see proof. Show me a lead form and the check it generated.

The principle is what I care about in this business, so that's why I will continue to make sure this guy is known about.

No Case History found in my online search of Lake County Clerk's Office. Is it possible that it is too recent? My company was considering using this company until I read this post on Google.
