Beware when making purchases from this company. I was looking for tickets to a Broadway show for my wife to attend on Mother's Day weekend. Found a link on the AAA web site with a discount. I have already reported this issue to the AAA since their web site reputation is also at stake here. I ended up paying $162.00 per ticket (2) with a service fee of $32.40 per ticket (2) and a local pick up fee of $15.00, getting a $25.00 discount from the AAA referal code for purchase. My wife and sister received tickets with a face value printed on the ticket for $83.00 each. Now I understand resalers, but I was paying a good price fro good seats, I thought! My wife and sister called me at intermission, they could not see what was going on up on the stage. In short, I sent the two most important women in my life to a New York play, total trip costing me $2,200.00 to have them be disappointed! I reported this on Ticket Licuidators how did we do survey and have heard nothing in response. All I can do is warn others, if this is ok with you go ahead, if not find another anvenue to make your ticket purchase.

TL is a resale marketplace where tickets are priced independent of face value

AUTHOR: Ticket Liquidator - ()

POSTED: Friday, May 17, 2013

Hello Mark!

Thank you for your comments about your order. We're sorry to hear about your unhappiness.

Just to explain, we at TL are a resale marketplace through which independent ticket sellers resell tickets to popular sporting, concert, and theater events. We don't directly own, price, or ship any of the tickets listed for sale on our website, nor do we charge your credit card. Our purpose is to facilitate ticket transactions between buyers and sellers and monitor those transactions thereafter to make sure you are happy with the service from your seller. We want all the customers who order through our exchange to have the best possible order experience and we're always sorry when that particular pledge is unfulfilled.

In your case, I see that you purchased tickets to the musical "Newsies" and that you received a discount on your purchase due to your AAA membership. We at TL do indeed partner with some companies to advertise special discounts to their employees.

In regards to the pricing of your tickets, it seems that you are primarily upset because the face value on your tickets was lower than the price you paid for them. You will notice that we advertise throughout our website that the tickets sold through our marketplace are priced independent of face value (above or below) by ticket sellers. Sellers set their ticket prices based on a number of criteria - for instance, the popularity of a given event and the number of tickets available on the open market. The tickets for popular events will likely be sold above face value while the tickets for less popular events will likely be sold for below face value. This fact is explained in our FAQ, in our Terms and Policies (bolded at the very top), in our Glossary, and above every event listing on our exchange (all 82,000+ of them) in the "Lowdown" area. All the charges associated with your order were also advertised twice for you during the checkout process prior to your confirming the purchase.

In regards to the seating issue, you purchased tickets for Zone A in the venue, which basically encompasses almost all of the Orchestra area. The seller for that listing was promising to supply any tickets within the Zone A area, which they did correctly, per the tickets you received. Zone listings don't specify a particular row where your tickets will be located, but rather promise tickets in a general area. You might have been able to purchase seats in a specific section or row from other sellers.

Additionally, if you ever have any questions about a ticket listing prior to making a purchase, you are always free to give us a call and we'd be happy to assist!

In regards to the survey issue, I do indeed see that you left survey commentary for us, on Tuesday the 15th of May, which is only two days before you submitted your post. We ask in our surveys that customers allow up to a week for a response, because we want to keep our representatives on call for customers with questions about events that have not yet taken place. We answer all commentaries left in our surveys and review customer comments dedicatedly on a regular basis.

Regardless, I'm sorry that you misunderstood the pricing issue and will have a manager reach out to you to see if we could assist with a future order.
