I purchased tickets for a perfomer that was listed as being the actually performer, along with several other acts. Nowhere near any of the listed performers was the word "tribute" except in the middle of the list of acts, there was a name of a particular performer with a hyphen and then the word "tribute" attached. It was very misleading adverstisement and made one believe that only the performer attached with the hyphen was a tribute band. The phrase "tribute performance" should have been listed in bold, above the entire listing and not merely embedded in the middle of the description and only attached to one performer's name. Ten minutes after I purchased the tickets as a gift, when I told the receiver what I had bought, he informed me that it was a scam and there is no way the real performer would play at that particular venue and something was wrong. We searched the wording and again, while in the middle of the description, it was listed that one of the performers would be a tribute band, the word was nowhere near the name of the main act. I immediately called TicketWeb to let them know that their wording was deceptive and that I wanted a refund (it's not like I was having buyer's remorse a few days or weeks later). The customer service representative was very rude and when I asked her to transfer me to a manager, she gave me an attitude. The manager was not very helpful and although she apologized for the very poor advertisement and wording on the listing for the tickets, she refused to issue me a refund. I am now out $61 so that a greedy company can continue to deceive people. This was not a matter of me not knowing how to read, this was clearly a bait and switch. Bait in by using two famous names written nowhere near the very tiny word "tribute" and switch by deceptively inserting the word attached to a hypen near the name of another act somewhere in the middle of the listing. This company was very unforgiving about their deceptive practices and I will never purchase anything from them again based on principle alone. A good, reputable business would have seen that it was their mistake and would have refunded the money immediately. My advice to you is to call in advance before purchasing from this vendor, or perhaps, find one who actually has integrity.
