I went to AutoZone and their computer read out indicated P0306 or that the number six cylinder was misfiring. They indicated it was either the spark plug or spark plug wire which needed to be replaced and the vacuum hoses checked for leaks.

At that point I went next door to your Tire Works Total Car Care located at 6542 N Boulder Hwy Las Vegas NV 89122 and spoke with Timothy E. Schoen.

I explained to Tim the problem indicated by AutoZone and although I was not experiencing any problems with my car would like a quote to make the service engine light go out.

Tim inspected the auto and stated a complete Tune up which included spark plug change out would and spark plug wire change out, would correct the condition and the cost would be between $200-$250 which he placed on his card and signed it "see attached copy". I then scheduled an appointment for Saturday 3/29/2008.

During my visit Tim recommended, I consider Fuel Injector service to improve my autos miles per gallon, a Transmission Flush with new fluid and a Radiator Flush with new fluid total cost $535.06. I then asked that the vacuum hoses be checked for leaks and if needed replaced.

I fully explained to Tim in front of others that what I wanted was a Good Job and the Service Engine Soon light to go out, regardless of cost, quality and Good Service was what I needed and wanted. Tim indicated they were not like others and quality service is what I would get.

Tim called back at 3 p.m. and indicated my car was ready to pick up, it had been test drove and the vacuum was fine.

I walked 4 miles to pick up the car. When I arrived the service engine soon light was still on. Tim indicated he did not have the computer or meter to erase the trouble codes but AutoZone could and it would not appear again.

I went next door to AutoZone used the meter to erase the codes and started home. Before I got 1 mile from the location the Service Engine Soon light reappeared.

I then took it back to AutoZone and explain the service I just had performed. They said it was misfiring and that the spark plugs were not installed correctly or were not gapped correctly according to their computer read out.

I immediately headed over to TireWorks, Tim and Sean looked at the problem as it was informed to me by AutoZone. Sean and Tim indicated they now heard air coming from the vacuum hose. Which must have never been checked.

They asked me to bring it back tomorrow as they were closing.

I came back the next day at 9 a.m., now my car was running rough and shaking where prior it was not.

I watched as they pulled the vacuum hose off and now checked it with a Geniuses analyzer Tim brought in with him.

After a few minutes, Tim indicated the Fuel Injectors required replacement and estimated the cost would be $100-$200 but could not get parts until Monday 3/31/2008. On Monday Tim informed me that it was not the quoted price but would be $1,243.70.

I again informed Tim, that a Quality Good Job must be performed as cost was not the issue but correction of the condition causing the service engine soon light, and that I fully expected the car be test drove before they contacted me to pick it up. I left my auto for the service on Tuesday 4/1/2008.

I was informed later that day that by Tim the car was complete ready for pick up, test drove 20 minutes by the manager Mike and the service engine soon light was off.

I picked the car up after work and headed for the house, about 2 miles into my trip my car began smoking under the hood. I called Tim and informed him; he indicated it was fluid that would burn off, why I asked did it not burn off during the test drive. As I got closer to the house it got worse and I noticed that the temperature indicator was marking hot and moving higher. I called Tim again and informed him of the same.

Once at home and parked I called a friend who was a mechanic to look at it. He immediate noticed the radiator cap was not on properly. We opened the radiator and there was no fluid in the car. I contacted Tim who sent Sean with fluid. Sean filled it at my house and left.

The next day the Service engine soon light came on again and now the car was randomly stopping and seemed to be misfiring.

I called Tire Works on 4/2/2008 and spoke with Mike. I informed him of the above conversations and my intent to have a car in good condition. Mike indicated due to low valve pressure on some cylinders etc, it was most likely the problem. I noted to Mike the overheating and no fluid, he immediately stated I must have had a radiator leak, I then explained that the cap on the radiator was not secure and he should have caught this on his many test drives.

I informed Mike that I relied on them to be the experts and if I knew there was additional auto issues that I would be continuing to incur without desired results and full repair or fully know costs I may not have decided to incur the cost but rather make an alternate decision. Now knowing the whole cost, Tire Works poor communication an obvious errors may have just purchased another auto.

I now have $1,778.06 in auto repair costs in less than 4 days and it continues! Mike stated he would check on the cost of a rebuilt or new engine and do the best he could on a price and contact me today regarding same. See attached receipts on costs to date.

At this point the car no longer runs, the overheating, poor quality installations etc, directly resulted in this and can be confirmed by an independent third party.
