I borrowed 2200.00 dollars from Titlemax.I have paid on this for 2 years at 212.00 a month.I got behind 4 days after Christmas and they came to my door to leave me a note.I called the office to tell them i would pay my payment in one week they said that would not work.It seems after paying them for 2 years they would try to work with me just a little bit.Does anyone know the legal time they can pick up my car ? I use it for work daily and have two small children to take to school every morning. When i borrowed this money i did'nt know it would never be paid off i can't beleive this is legal. Thanks for any input.TD

#2 Consumer Suggestion

ten days to repo

AUTHOR: Joe S. - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, January 15, 2009

Tammy

They have 10 days before they will repo your car. They also must give you 30 days by state law from when you were due to allow you to pay your car off and take posession of it. They will threaten you but have no real action to take without upper management approval I suggest you conact the corporate office and telling them of the harrasment you have recieved Their number is posted in each office and you can call the office and they will give it to you . If they have gotten you your car you may be able to find the auction it is at and buy it for a lesser amount than what is owed. Turn it around on them and be sure to tell all your friends and family not to do business here. also contact your local representative so we can get these ridiculous laws changed. Tracy young the owner solicits / contibutes the lawmakers every year so he can continue to make millions off us working people while he continues to get richer

#1 Consumer Suggestion

thye can pick it up anytime

AUTHOR: Lambmit - (U.S.A.)

I would suggest paying the loan balance in full right now. I would sell everything you can to pay these people off and get them out of your life. They can pick the car up at anytime you are late.
