TKF Housemovers promised that they would be able to move a home on our property. They told me that it was administrative to apply for permits and get them from county/city agency. I applied for permits and was rejected.

Ken Marks (President of TKF Housemovers) called my wife while I was out of town and insisted on a deposit to move home ($11,000) and for this he would use his "pull" with city/county agency to get permits.

Permits were rejected multiple times. I followed up weeks later, asking how it was going -- continued no response. Finally, I told him that if he was unable to deliver, return our deposit -- He has not called back since.

I have left multiple messages with his office and receptionist. Further, he is working several lots down from me and I have volunteered to meet him at a mutually agreeable location to settle this disagreement.

The next recourse will cost me a couple thousand dollars and a few months to get the money back (hiring an attorney) -- so we hope that it doesn't need to go this extreme.

Be Patient: It Works Better

AUTHOR: Gearold Batson - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, June 04, 2016

I purchased two houses from TFK House movers in 2005.  Ken, the owner worked with me every step of the way without any problems.  Later on We were making a deal at the time he lost his leg.  Of course problems pop up when the head man is missing.  The people that made this complaint need to remove it.  After all, Mr. marks did return the money without anybody going to court.

#1 REBUTTAL Owner of company

TKF Housemovers in business since 1982

AUTHOR: Richard - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, May 16, 2016

I'm writing this rebuttal in reference of a complaint written back in 2005. My name is Richard, I'm the new owner of this business and also the son of the previous owner (Ken). I've previously talked to my father a little bit about this complaint because it's the only complaint we've had in 34years. Which I think is a pretty good track record. Anyhow, back when this complaint was written is about the same time that my dad was in an accident were he lost his leg and almost lost his life, so he was probably very busy with Dr. Appt's ext, and at that time a lot of business stuff got pushed to the back burner. I don't mean to be making excuses for my father, just FYI. TKF sold a house to be moved to the client's lot. By contract when we sell a house the client is responsible for half the cost up front at the signing of the contract. Which was paid by the client. Then the client was having some problems getting a building permit to be able to put the house on their lot. My father (Ken) told the client that he could probably pull a few strings to get the permit. That apparently fell through. The client then tries to contact my dad with a few failed attempts probably due to personal reasons dealing with his health. At this time the client is wanting his $11000.00 back. My dad and the client finally talk and the client says that he wants his money and if he didn't get it back he was gonna file a report. My dad agreed to give his money back but it was gonna take a couple of weeks to get it together. The client posted this report just a couple of days later and when my dad gave him his money back he refused to take it down. So for whoever reads this let me remind you that my dad is a great Christian man that would never purposely ripoff anyone and for someone to insinuate that my dad or TKF Housemovers would ever rip anybody off really gets under my skin and you can ask anybody that we've ever done work for or if they even know my dad what type of guy my dad is they would tell you the same so I hope this rebutal redeems our reputation as a business and as my father's name. God bless!
