Trane Air Conditioning Compressor rusted out after 2 years 9 months of service as per installer. Bridgeton, Missouri

 We purchased a Trane central airconditioning unit for our condo in Palm Beach County, Florida in August 2010.  During a routine semi annual maintanance call by the installer in May 2013, he reported that the conpressor was rusted out and that the unit looked like it was over ten years old.  I contacted Trane both by sending them a letter with copies of the bill of sale and of a color picture of the rusted compressor, on their website and they replied two days later with a customer file number, but it has been three weeks despite repeated telephone calls which are never answered or messages replied to, no one has contacted me back about the unit.  This company does not provide any customer support after the sale.  I am out thousands of dollars.
