Buying a Ford??? Stay away from Tusin Ford in the Tustin Auto Mall. This is an Auto Nation/Power Auto Group dealer. These people don't have the same values that a "family owned" dealership has.

My wife and I visited Tustin Ford a couple of weeks ago. We arrived around 6pm on a Saturday and were the only customer at the dealership. No one approached us, so we went inside and met one of the desk (sales) managers "Mike". He was busy playing a game on his PC. I told him that we wanted to test drive a 2004 Explorer because we were testing several "brands" over the weekend and would make our decision to purchase something the following Saturday. I had some newspaper ads with me and Mike told me that the ad expired "yesterday". I told him I wasn't looking to buy an ad vehicle, we simply wanted to test drive any Explorer.

Mike gets a lame salesman "Sergio" and he acted like we were a big bother and an inconvenience. With the rolling of his eyes and the look of disgust, I could tell that we were not going to be buying anything from these guys. Sergio tells a new, young kid to bring a vehicle around. They bring us a vehicle that is on fumes..no gas! He said, "is this okay"? I said no, I'm not going to drive a vehicle with no gas. His reply was, "well we can just take it around the block". The new kid offered to get another vehicle with gas but Sergio made it clear that we weren't going to drive anything if we were not going to purchase that day.

We went back into the showroom because I wanted to confirm that Mike didn't want to sell us a vehicle. He's got a big smirk on his face as did 2-3 salesman on the showroom floor. It was clear that we were being "mocked". I guess they felt that the joke was on us, albeit that they didn't sell us a vehicle. When I got back to our car, my wife says "I felt uncomfortable the minute we stepped on their lot." [There you go, don't ever under-estimate a woman's intuition!!] Boy was her intuition right. These guys at this dealership are a bunch of disrespectful bozo's.

On Thursday of the next week, we bought a new 2004 Nissan Pathfinder with a sticker of $31,150. I sent a letter describing the unpleasant experience that we had to the General Manger of Tustin Ford, Brian Wood, along with a copy of the Purchase Order on the new Nissan that we bought (just to let him know that he lost a serious and qualfied buyer and we weren't looking for the lowest price).

It's been over two weeks and I've never heard anything from Brian Wood so I'm assuming this behavior meets with his approval. So I took it to another level and sent a copy of my complaint letter to Ford Motor Corporation in Deerfield, Illinois and to Power Auto Group, aka Auto Nation in Florida, a couple of days ago. I'll keep everyone posted on any response that I get back. [I am positive that Ford will respond. I am very doubtful that Auto Nation/Power Auto Group will respond. Base on another experience with a Power dealership, I've learned that this outfit is "very high pressure"(especially in the Finance Dept.)and lack what I consider "basic human decency and morals".

Caution: All Power/Auto Nation dealers operate pretty much the same way and are like a predator: Advice: Find an independent, preferably a "family owned" dealership. The treatment that you get during the selling process will be worth it. They will also work harder to make you satisfied for the duration that you own your vehicle.

My wife and I love our new Nissan Pathfinder that we purchased at Buena Park Nissan. Jim Clark the assistant sales manager made the deal really easy. Good dealership, no games!! The Power Auto Group has a Nissan dealership in Irvine where we live. We decided to drive to Buena Park and avoid any Power Auto dealership.

In closing: If you purchase a vehicle from any POWER dealership, do not come back to this website crying the blues. You have been warned. If you've already purchased a vehicle from Power, go ahead and reply on this site.

Waste of Time

AUTHOR: Bill - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 06, 2007

Don,

As a previous salesman, to a Fleet Mgr. to a Sales Mgr (now out of the business for 1 1/2 years now, 7 year Veteran)....with years of 90 hour weeks under my belt and the experience of dealing with "customers" (or people on an ego trip and looking for trouble like yourself) I can assure you that you went into this dealership looking for the respect you do not receive from your work or life.

I am not going to turn this into a "customer" bashing thread, but let me give you some "USEFUL" advice in dealing with any dealership and especially a sales "professional", cause this is what these guys are. They have to put up with people that hate them right off the bat, if the customers changed their attitudes, maybe sales people at dealerships, would change theirs. And 99.9% of customers LIE, alot more than the sales people.

On a day to day basis salesman and woman run into people like yourself, so let me dispell some "customer" legends, myths and so called edmonds facts. Ad units, AD UNITS ARE LOOSERS for the dealerships and usually will cost a sales person money. Second, either there is no one home in your head, but sales people work on a thing called COMMISSION and ONLY COMMISSION, that is when you only get paid when you sell something, that is when you only feed your family when you sell something (just in case you didn't know, which you obviously didn't). FORD MOTOR CREDIT COMPANY, LEXUS, BMW etc..dont give a **** about what goes on at an individual dealership. You are righting to "NO ONE" and no one cares about your baseless complaint of storming in with ad papers in your hand demanding services for free. That is EXACTLY what you did...read what you wrote.

So as you stated "I walked into the dealership, told them I was not buying from them and just wanted to test drive and they were rude"...How about this, if I was your boss "How about you work the week for free, I just want to see how you do"..it sounds abserd hu, unthinkable hu...but that is exactly what you asked that sale person to do. You told him, "Work for free for me and pass up a real customer coming in"... Didn't you say it was dead there, no one in the whole place..that's sad...and now you get someone like you coming in to try and steel from someone that is working late on a Sunday, not seeing his or her family so you can "Drive around the corner and never return". To those who say "Then they, the Psychologists, Councelors and Pros (car sale pros Im talking about) that listen to the pathetic excuses of car buyers should get another job...try it for 6 months... I put it in line with being a cop or school teacher in Falujah. Oh and you bought a Nissan? First off USA NON PATRIOT TRAITOR and Second, you're a "Jack" So why did you want to test drive a ford again?

Understand why you were treated bad, do you know how many complaints come into a dealership. I worked for a dealership where our CSI was at 88% and we still received in 25 complaints a month (Bythe way 88% is like 150% in the real world)...people complaining about how they didn't get helped, same people that are literally screaming at sales people to get away..then when they need help and 47seconds go by, they then write a complaint letter about how no one was there to help thme.

You knew exactly what you were doing, you wasted WAY TO MUCH TIME IN INVESTING IN YOUR MONTHS OF REBUTTALS ETC. AND SLAMMING THIS DEALERSHIP, YOU DID THIS ON PURPOSE AND YOU SHOULD BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES YOU HAVE CAUSED.

By the way, Power Ford of Tustin does suck, cause they are a power store...never worked there or had any affiliation...not even a dealertrade..cause Power Stores dont do that....so I am only defending the poor guys you purposely went after.

YOU ARE A "JACK", find out what it means....

Here, I'll tell you....

Car Sales Definition of a "Jack": A customer that has bad credit./ A customer that has no intention of buying and has no money to go to the movies to waste his or her time./ A customer trying to show off for his internet date he met on "Bigones.com"./ A customer thats car is in current repo status and thinks that by trading it in, the money owed will go away./ The customer that wants an appraisal over the phone for his mint condition Nissan Celica (not mentioning the hood is gone, 2 tires are flat and the "I Love BullHead City Arizona" Sticker is un-removable from the glass... get my drift... AD JACK.

CINDY - CAN YOU ELABORATE ON YOUR EXPERIENCE

AUTHOR: Don - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, April 26, 2006

Cindy; Thanks for your input. It would really benefit all others if you could take some time and be specific about your experience at this Power Dodge dealer. As a salesman in the automotive industry, I understand what you are saying but for others, it would be beneficial if you could give more details. Incidentally, I believe it can be a $10,000 fine to a dealer caught showing a vehicle without a Maroni (factory) window sticker. We take this very serious. Unless you committed to buying the vehicle over the phone or the internet and they were just getting the vehicle ready for delivery; it should have the window sticker...at least sitting on the dashboard for you to see. Gosh; customers want to see the options on a vehicle!!

I'll look forward to your further report Cindy...

We purchased a dodge durango from power dodge in valencia, ca. They removed the window price sticker from the window before we even got the car.

They used high pressure sales tatics, fraud and deception to sale us a car. We were ignorant of their scam. No one should ever buy a any cars from any power dealership!!!!!!!

GEE BILL IN OHIO, LIGHTEN UP BUDDY !! MAYBE LAY OFF THE COFFEE...

AUTHOR: Don - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 28, 2006

Just because I used to work for a Lexus Dealership does not mean that I can/or care to, afford a Lexus. I am just a humble, family man, car salesman,Bill. In your mind, if I worked at
Walmart, then I probably couldn't shop at Target?

My guess is that you must work at a Ford Dealership in Ohio. You have really embarrassed yourself.

I would love to advertise my dealerhip and my phone number, but this forum is not for advertising, it's simply for comments. And one's
like yours do not benefit anyone. For the record pal, I sell and ship cars all over the U.S.; Europe; Canada; and Asia. I don't have any "unsatisfied or unhappy customers". Ya know why? Because I have the luxury of telling someone to leave my dealership if they come in with a chip on their shoulder. I only sell nice vehicles to nice people. Envious probably? You're probably still living and dying by your new car store's CSI surveys. It sounds like you really have a passion for your work.

Lexus/Toyota is an awesome company. Aren't they just about #1 Bill?? Nissan/Infiniti is also a terrific product. And just for Bill, you "dolt",
the Nissan was the vehicle that my wife selected.
If you were not such a coward Bill, you would have identified your trade of business.

Because, if you were in the automotive business, you wouldn't have written such a stupid comment. For the record, either Toyota/Lexus or Nissan/Infiniti have some of the best "resale values" in the industry.

I think I've said more than your rebuttal deserves. Say no more Bill, please....."dolt"!

From your Man Don in sunny Southern Calif. I'll answer any questions, but please, don't send dumb stuff like "MR. BILL FROM OOOHIO!!"

AUTHOR: Bill - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, March 22, 2006

So Don, isn't Nissan one of Lexus's (Toyota Motor Co.) major competitors? What, did your own dealership treat you badly too? I hope your bosses appreciate your loyalty. Why not post their email addresses so they can see how happy your are to have purchased your competitor's product.

YOUR MAN ON THE STREET IS BACK

AUTHOR: Don - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 14, 2006

Your man on the street, aka "a professional car salesman" that takes pride in his work and cares about his customers (and their family and friends).

Thanks for the good rebuttal RICK in HUNTINGTON BEACH. Hey man, I'm glad that you represent "the
good guys" in automotive sales. Consumers need to know that some sales people like us do this as
a long term living. And we have families also. Find a good salesman that you feel good with and most likely you'll have a pleasant purchasing experience. No knocks against you my friend, but
you cannot deny the fact that I wrote to FORD MOTOR CORP AND TO AUTO NATION/POWER AUTO GROUP. The only, only reply I got was "sorry, we're on vacation". On top of that, as I'v stated, that J.O. Gen. Manager at Tustin Ford didn't even have
the courtesy to call or write me to try to get me back in his store or to (maybe) apologize and/or offer me a special deal???!!!Noooooo!! There ain't no defense AMIGO for Ford or Power/Auto Nation. To you Rick, I apologize for throwing you in with the rats. You sound like a quality,
stand up guy. Keep it up 'cause guys like you and
me can make an honest, decent living selling cars
and trucks. We enjoy helping customers get into their dream vehicles.

And to Ben in Martinez, CA. You said it all man.
Although you suffered my friend, you actually got the "last laugh" on Tustin Ford and Ford Motor Corp. CSI's (customer satisfaction surveys) from
(in this case) FORD, got crucified by your survey
that you sent in. These negative reports cost Ford Motor Corp big money, but more importantly, it costs the individual dealer "a ton" of money
(that the manufacturer incentives the dealer to make certain the customer is happy.) Tustin Ford
failed; you nailed them; and trust me, you have no
idea how bad you nailed the dealer. These survey's are taken extremely seriously by the manufacturer.

Hope this makes you feel better!!!!

I'm still in the business and enjoying myself. Don't hesitate to leave comments; or questions.
I'll check in more frequently.

Later.

Oh how I know Tustin Ford.......

AUTHOR: Ben - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, February 14, 2005

While my situation differs a bit from dear Don's, I do have a good story about Tustin Ford.

In 1998 I had need for a 4x4 pickup for work. These are not common in the Los Angeles area due to the fact everyone is pretty fake in the south end of the state and wants SUV's (not even 4x4 ones at that!). Well I spent several months getting my attack plan ready and doing some homework and decided on a Ford Ranger stepside(sport) 4x4. There were practically NONE to be found in LA or Orange counties. I finally tracked one down, my color, my engine, my everything.....at Tustin Ford.
I went down test drove the truck, and we went in to do the deal. Now heres the first shock. While I can totally see where Don and his wife got treated so rudely, I'll have to be honest here, I got no such rude treatment. This most likely was due to the fact that I obviously intended to get A FORD number one, and I had obviously done all my homework, number two. So to them, it looked like an easy sale, and they did exactly that.....made it an easy sale. I traded my old 93 Nissan 240sx in and got the truck.
About 3 months after I had this truck, I got a letter from US Bank the lien holder for the old Nissan. They stated that my Nissan had been paid off for too much (around $360) and that a check had been cut to Tustin Ford in that amount. I called Tustin Ford and they said to come on down and get it. All things seemed fine so far. Then about 3 more months after that US Bank calls again stating that THAT check was an error and they wanted the money back! So I told them nicely that I'm an honest person, and have no problems paying the money back if there was an error BUT there were 2 things they had to do. Number one, fix my credit report since it now showed the old Nissan as being past due for 6 months! Their fault! And, number two, get a letter from Tustin Ford stating that they would not come after me for the money since was THEY that cut me a check, not US bank. I didnt want to get double tapped. US Bank got the letter but NEVER cleared my credit.....NEVER! (dont use US Bank EVER!! they caused me grief for the last 7 years over this! I have all the letter and all the promises they made in writing!)

Now flash forward 1 year. The position that I was expecting to get from my work never panned out. I no longer had any need for a 4x4, and I had moved to a place further from work. The truck was a lease and the milage was killing me (fearing of trade back time). I went back to Tustin Ford to see if something could be done to help me get out of this lease a year early if I bought another car from FORD and the SAME dealership. They said "Sure!" so away I went to look at new cars. I settled on a nice simple V6 Mustang (first year of the new body style...nice!). We settled on a price and payments did the paperwork and all things done. So far I feel lucky (still not knowing that USBank is going to hose my credit for thier and Fords mistake on my old Nissan for the next 7 years!).

Two days after taking home the Mustang, I get a call from the good ol' GM from Tustin Ford. He said my credit didnt go through and they needed me to come down and re-work the papers. Yes folks the old bait and switch! I get down there and they say that my credit wasnt good enough for the terms we settled on. When I demanded to see my credit report, guess what was the ONLY thing negative on it.......BINGO!.....US-Bank and thier screw up over my Nissan from a year ago I traded in to TUSTIN FORD!!! I showed him that, I showed him the letters from US-Bank, the letters from HIS OWN DEALERSHIP, the promises that my credit would be fixed, etc. He didnt care. He just wanted me to sign new papers for $150 more a month! At 8% MORE INTREST!! (I have never bought a car over 7% in my life!).

Well after some harsh words, and threats of having them yank rims off, security systems off and any other extras that had been put on the car off to get the price down to where it was, he finally caved and I won....sorta. My monthlies did go up about $25 which I could live with. But the intrest still sucked.

In the end I really lost because US-Bank never did fix the credit report and Ive had to live with that for the last 7 years.

I did get a customer satifaction card from them ot send into Ford which I gave a scathing report on. At least that makes me feel good. But obviously It didnt matter since they still have the same piss poor customer service.

Good luck Don. Hope the Nissan keeps ya going.

(I honestly think US-Bank, Ford Motor Credit, and Tustin Ford were all in on that little "screw-up")

I Like You Don... So Read With An Open Mind

AUTHOR: Rick - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, February 12, 2005

Don

I agree with you on all the post you have made...Just look it up...But this time I think you getting treated like sh#t by a dealership has blinded you to some important points:

1) You saying that ALL Power dealerships are as bad as this one in Tustin is like saying all Denny's hate black people because one location treated some with disrespect.

2) Assuming that ALL Ford salespeople are losers that do not understand the finer points of salesmanship is ignorant. I have worked for Ford for the last 5 Years...Before that I worked at the #1 Mercedes Benz dealer in the world...I have 99% CSI index and have 100's of satisfied customers that would vouch for me and my Power Dealership...Lexus is not the only maker who boast salesman who practice the Nordstrom process of sales.

3) You have to admit that you working for Lexus is a small conflict of interest in this thread...I mean really can you objective and take emotion out of your post? If I didn't know better I would think that all Ford dealers are the devil and that Japs are here to save them from us.

4) I have to add this...When I worked for MBenz I learned this...The reasons that Lexus had (JD Powers doesn't even name them #1 in CSI anymore) such a great model for customer satisfaction was the obvious need to build value in a TOYOTA with a LEXUS badge and the huge mark up! The BMW-Mercedes Benz and now Audi have always been superior to Lexus.

I applaud your great comments on other threads relating to the ignorance that some other complaints have shown...I plead with you to reevaluate your comments and rephrase the broad stroke you have painted on Power and Ford...It is painfully obvious that Power Ford TUSTIN is the ONLY one to blame for you troubles...I also feel that Ford should have addressed your concerns and they need to have a talking to as well...just don't point the finger at the many ethical and honest car salesman that hold our reputations and honor so highly...I would not make light of you if Lexus had a PR nightmare at 1 dealership or in 1 issue...I only ask that you do the same for us in the lowly domestic world.

Best Wishes!

FORD DEALERS TRAINED TO SEND BIZ TO NISSAN?!!!

AUTHOR: Don - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, January 28, 2005

Hi, this is Don your man on the street, aka the professional car salesman. I loved your rebuttal
Jan in Glendale, Az. I thought it was so funny because your situation was "identical" to mine..to the tee. Ya, and they wonder why the Japanese companies are kicking their butt. A)Ford should start training their people properly and B) follow up on complaints.

Catch this: Mr. Consumer Advocate in Phoenix, AZ. gave me an email list to Ford Motor "corp office".
I sent emails to (2) key corporate managers and I even mentioned the RIPOFFREPORT.COM site to them.
Ya know what I got from the (2)Ford managers: "Sorry, we are on vacation. We'll reply when we return". NEVER HEARD A PEEP FROM THESE
J.O.'s. Ya, send me to the Japanese manufacturers
and I can at least be treated with some respect and dignity.

I've still not heard anything from the dumb GM at Tustin Ford after I sent him a "cordial letter" letting him know how my wife and I were abused at his dealership. The manager on duty pre-judged me thinking that I was looking for an ad vehicle that they don't make any money on. We bought a brand new 2004 Nissan Pathfinder, fully loaded. We got a good deal but the sticker was $31,000.
That price tag will buy " a lot of Ford".

In closing, I have notified the GM of Tustin Ford; I notified the corp. office of POWER aka
Auto Nation (national chain of dealerships...ya know, with Wayne Gretsky?); I've notifed Ford Motor Corp. product managers....Duh, no one person has given a crap about even acknowledging
me or my complaint. Just amazing. I'm sorry, I try to be American and patriotic, but I'm going to spend my hard earned money where its appreciated.

Your man on the street is signing off.

Hot tip: Ford Motor Corp. email contacts

AUTHOR: Don - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, January 03, 2005

This is your reporter Don again from rainy Southern California. Thank you for your interest in this webpage. (sounds like you've got the inside personnel scoop there buddy!) Anyhow, I took your list and put it on my dart board. I only have (2) darts and I hit on: onavarr1@ford.com and sbadgett@ford.com.

Since you already know that this astute shopper, aka the professional car salesman, has gone out and purchased a brand new 2004 Nissan Pathfinder
(yup, sticker $30,500....eat your heart out Ford 'cause I know that you hate to see those Japanese folks sell anything in your backyard) I really don't have anything to gain by stirring up the pot with Ford anymore. But what the heck,I am going to direct these (2) folks to the RIPOFF REPORT website so that they can see what they are missing. Maybe we'll even get some interesting (uh huh; "rebuttal)from them.
I can't wait to hear how they explain away the Tustin Ford story and the letter(s) that were sent to Ford Motor Corp's office in Deerfield, Ill. and to their preferred dealerships
headquarters e.g. POWER AUTOMOTIVE GROUP, aka Auto Nation. KEEP YOUR EYES ON THIS PAGE to see what FORD'S "rebuttal" will be.

Still haven't heard from that GM at Tustin Ford so don't do any business there...got it???!!! And take Ford Motor Corps rebuttal with a grain of salt...if we ever hear from them. [I really am a patriotic American and wish that this American (Ford) company would learn something about treating consumers with "respect".

Okay, I've gotta come clean 'cause I promised RIPOFF report that I would contribute something
"constructive". I work for Lexus and I only say this because they train us; the teach us; and they practice "RESPECT" with us and on us. Kinda like Nordstroms if you will. Ya know, I really enjoy treating other human beings with respect...ya know why...because generally people will reciprocate. That's the problem with this country today. We don't treat each other with respect (unless you go to Lexus or Nordstroms).

And let me say it again (I've said it above before!)if you are not treated with respect at a car dealership, then you hold onto your butt cheeks and get the heck out of there. Don't spend your hard earned money where it is not appreciated. With this said, we shouldn't have any more complaints about car dealers on this website...right?!

Signing off now.

Tustin Ford / POWER Automotive "rip off"

AUTHOR: Don - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, December 30, 2004

Hello, this is Don again. I said I would keep everyone updated on the abuse that my wife and I endured at Tustin Ford which is a POWER AUTOMOTIVE owned dealership. As I stated in my first report, I sent a letter to FORD MOTOR CORP.in Deerfield, Ill. and to POWER AUTOMOTIVE CORP.aka Auto Nation in Florida.

Here it is, over a month now, and I've not heard from Ford Motor Corp. As I originally stated, I never expected to hear from Power. I really thought that Ford would acknowledge my correspondence but I guess they just don't care.
And you know what,I don't care either because I got the last laugh on them because I went and bought a Nissan.

This is the bottom line folks. If you don't like your gut feeling at any dealership, get up and leave. Nobody has a gun at your head, forcing you to stay. The moral of the story is this: "If you sign the papers for a car, don't come crying that you got ripped off". Once you have signed the papers, you are agreeing to everything that was discussed. The numbers on a sales contract are fairly easy to read and understand. If you need help understanding something...."ask a manager".

I'm sorry to say, that after going thru my car buying experience (and I'm an experienced car salesman)I now understand why many people want to hate us (like attorneys). 50% of the salesman I came in contact were good. 50% were J.O.'s. I won't spend my hard earned money with a salesman that I don't like and you don't have to either.
You know what I did at one dealership, I went in and asked the sales manager to get me another sales person.

If I ever hear from Ford or Power, I'll update this page....but I'm not to hopeful at this point.
Still real happy with my new 2004 Nissan Pathfinder.

P.S. As per the correspondence that I sent to General Manager Brian Wood, I've never heard a word back from him either. Apparently this is the way that he trains his people and it's obviously supported by the POWER AUTOMOTIVE CORP aka Auto Nation. BUY FROM A FAMILY OWNED DEALERSHIP..PLEASE!!!!!

Are Ford dealers trained to do this?

AUTHOR: Jan - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, November 20, 2004

Don:

I wonder if these Ford guys all go to the same school. Your report rang so many bells with me I couldn't believe it. My experience was at Sunset Ford in Peoria, Arizona. I was in the market for a new vehicle and did a lot of internet research. We then contacted several dealerships (fleet internet sales). From the info. we got we decided to go for test drives. At Sunset Ford salesman didn't want us to drive anything unless we committed to buying even after we had made clear we were trying out different makes and models. We got the 'no gas in that one' and the 'that ones parked in a corner' and 'I haven't got the key to that one'. We walked away and bought a Nissan Murano. The Nissan folks let us drive whatever we wanted and they even went to a Toyota place to let us drive one of theirs so we could compare. Best car shopping experience ever!

By the way Ford dealer called back weeks after asking if we had decided. When I told him yes and it is a Nissan he said 'people like you are killing US car industry'

What's The Diff? The worst one of all is suppose to be run by the daughter of the original founder.

AUTHOR: Cory - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, November 14, 2004

They have two "family" owned Ford dealers here in town and they are just as good at screwing people as the corporate owned ones. Now that I think about it, 30,40,50,60 years experience, passed down from one generation to another. The worst one of all is suppose to be run by the daughter of the original founder. Don't see a whole lot of difference between the two. Don't be mislead by the "family owned" BS. They're all out to get your money.

Tustin Ford, He doesn't give a damm and I guess this flows down hill to his managers and sale people.

POSTED: Saturday, November 13, 2004

Its been 3+ weeks now. Still haven't heard anything from Mr. Brian Wood, G.M. at Tustin Ford
[a Power Automotive Dealership] regarding the unpleasant shopping experience that I reported to RipOff Report. I guess my initial gut feeling was correct. He doesn't give a damm and I guess this flows down hill to his managers and sale people.

Just thought I'd update the Report. Anyone looking to buy a Ford, do yourself a big favor, go to a family owned dealership. All dealers pay the same price to the factory. You'll get so much more "personalize service" from a family owned company. And "if" something goes wrong, you pretty much can go directly to the owner. I guarantee you'll get satisfactory results. Family owned dealers really work hard to earn your "repeat business"; your referrals; and your service work.

I'll keep everyone posted.

Family owned dealers really work hard to earn your "repeat business"; your referrals; and your service work.

I'll keep everyone posted.

Tustin Ford, He doesn't give a damm and I guess this flows down hill to his managers and sale people.

Stay Away from ANY Power Dealership

AUTHOR: Venus - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, November 07, 2004

I would second Don's advice: stay away from ANY Orange County, CA Power dealership. They are the worst. We visited many of them last July - they tried all the dirty tricks on us. To show the "company policy" they told us: wherever we go in Orange County, all Power is owned by the same group - means same high prices, and same low moral...

We bought a nice Toyota in a family owned dealership OUT of Orange County. Both the price and the service was A+++
