United Home Relief located on 20 Gilbert Ave in Smithtown, Ny. 11787 owned by James(Jim) E McInernery specialized in home modifications. Also, present at this location was his wife Alecia McInerney and Matthew Oliver (consultant).

I first made contact in Oct. 2008 by referral from a friend regarding this company, 14 months later, I still haven't had my loan modified as per our contract, Mr. McIncerney collected over $4000.00 as payment for my loan modification. Over the past month they haven't answered their phone or replied to my e-mails.  Their phones have been disconnected.

Its companies like this that should be prosecuted and and their operators sent to prison for fraud. I will be filing a complaint with the New York attorney general and will seek criminal/ punitive damages from Mr McInerney, his wife Alecia, and consultant Matthew Oliver.

Mr McInerney, all of a sudden you respond to an e-mail regarding your company after numerous attempts to contact your company regarding my loan modification failed., not only you didn't complete your job representing myself, I now have to take action to modify my on loans..Thats right..did you forget about the 2nd..which you haven't done anything to modify that loan and you've been paid to do.

You can have your attorney's office contact me in regards to your breech of contract.

All it would have taken was an e-mail to acknowledge your companies status.

Not true at all

I think this client in question forget to mention a few key points:  His loan has been modified 3 separate times-January 2009, Febraury 2009, August 2009.  This client has actually MADE payments to HIS bank towards his new modification. (that United Home got for him).  HIS financial institution is the one that keeps "dropping the ball" by saying they dont remember modifying the loan, when reality is we have the actual agreement.  We did our job, got his payment lowered three times and have helped him for well over a year.  We even helped him with a debt consolidation totaling well over $100,000 that we never got paid on.  Countless man hours have gone into this file-which was completed months ago.  I dont know what more to do when a customer actually starts paying his bank for his new modification.  We are not hiding, we have merged with an attorney.  This client does not know this because his file is no longer active.  We are proud of the work we did and are happy that we saved him money.

this loan(s) has been modified 3 times

AUTHOR: United Home - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, January 19, 2010

I think that the person in question forget to mention that his loan(s) has actually been modified three different times.  Once in January of 2009, once in February of 2009, and again in August of 2009.  This clients frustration stems from the bank taking his MODIFIED payments that United Home worked out for him, and the bank telling him they "didn't realize they modified it already".  All work was done proudly for this customer and I feel that had HIS financial institution not dropped the ball so badly there wouldn't be any complaint.  The reason for no contact is that our company has merged with an attorney's office and emails had been sent to the active clients of the office.  We also helped this client do a MAJOR debt consolidation(well over $100,000)which required countless hours of paperwork while receiving no compensation.  This customers NEW payment went down dramatically, once modified, and this complaint has no merit.
